    Admin validation required but not set

    Hello, For new member registrations, our settings require that a full registration form be filled and validation then occurs by email. I have never enabled Admin validation. Why then do I get an admin notification claiming a potential member needs admin validation? This is, btw, the second time this happens. thanks, and a pleasant day to all.

    Can I Restrict Community B Registrations to Use Community A Credentials?

    I have two communities. Community A (server), and Community B ("slave") I would like to ensure that only registrations and logins from Community B are handled by Community A, meaning I do not want to allow members of Community B to register themselves. Instead, I want them to only be able to use accounts from Community A to log in and "register" in Community B. Is this possible? If so, how could I accomplish it? Note: I have already linked Community B with Community A.

    Can I force logout for all guests?

    Hello, I've written before about some guest accounts all parked (for weeks) throughout our forum, all from a related IP source. So far, no harm has been done. Still, I am wondering if logging out all guests for a few minutes might be enough to dislodge them. Would this be possible without messing up site indexing etc? How should I best go about it? I was thinking that, if this works, I'd like to have it ready in case we get more of such traffic in the future. Thanks!

    Product renewal

    Hi all, In our Store there is a product that was automatically renewed once a year. For internal reasons we disabled the renewal on that product and when asked by the options we also applied the change to products already purchased. Despite the change, in the following days we saw that the invoice for the renewal was still generated for one of our customers. We proceeded to delete it by hand but since other products are due to be renewed in the next few days we would like to understand how to avoid this. Thank you in advance

    Hi, In the system settings --> Data layer --> I checked the option Members can opt out of exposing their own PII But I did some testing and I don't see the option that allows members to activate or deactivate it. Is there something I missed? Sincerely, Pascal.

    Hello friends. Is it possible to eliminate options from the country drop down field to only have one country listed? I am looking at only offering my membership to a specific country and if I can modify this it would eliminate confusion on sign ups. I’m thinking there may be code somewhere to change this. thanks

    Hey all, I'm new to the gallery module and the manual on this topic is pretty brief. Hoping some of you guys in the know might be able to help fill in some blanks for me. I understand the basic role / function the gallery module has - to allow for the posting of photos and videos. Seems to be a sort of different view on online community sharing and discussion where the photo / video takes the lead, with comments and discussion following (versus the other way around for most standard forum posting / commenting).     Can we allow users to change their vote? Can an Admin edit votes? I created a poll asking when people would be able to meet. I posted ten available time slots, and one person only selected one. For the meeting, that does not work - there are too many other members that need to agree. I want that one user to be more flexible and select more openings. Thanks

    Sever propagating really slowly (posts taking 10+ mins to show?)

    I am currently in Asia. I made a post 6 mins ago, gave the link to that direct post (edit, now checked 10mins later and still not showing on their side). The person in the UK are unable to see the post yet. Surely there should not be that much of a delay in posts? I have noticed this before also. I also have screenshot evidence of this This could create a lot of issues, specifically in timed auction topics.

    Hey guys, I am currently testing the referral system on my platform. One user now bought a product using the test referral link and I got a comission. Where can I view the amount of commissions in my user account ? and the 2nd question is - do some of you guys made some experience with the referral system - do user really use that feature or is the a too high possibiliy of fraud when you open the referral system up to all users ?     Cross-posting of Articles into Forum topics

    When configured, it is cross-posting the entire new article content as a new forum topic. Or is it just displaying the same article content inside topics? Does it not result as "duplicate" content (negatively) for search engines when same content is shown in more than one place? Maybe just post a topic with a link to the original article instead of repeating the entire article body?

    Adding Pages Content Within Standard Blocks

    Hi. Is there a simple method to add Blocks/Pages using standard theme blocks, with header, title, border and background colours so that they match other elements on my sight? Of course, I can do this using HTML/CSS, but this seems like overkill and a lot of unnecessary work (and is not a practical solution for other admins who nothing about HTML and CSS). It seems like I am missing something.

    Security issue? Bots logs in as an existing forum account and opens a topic

    Hi guys, I run a self-hosted instance at https://forum.bjbikers.com. For a couple of days now we are seeing that bots are able to log in as existing forum members and then post their spam as new topics. My forum was on the previous v4.7.14, but today I've upgraded it to the latest v4.7.15. This has happened 4-5 times with different accounts. Here's the activity log for such an account: Does this happen to anyone else? Do you have any advices on what should I do to prevent this from happening in the future? Thanks!

    https://example.com/robots.txt Where is robots.txt physically located when crawl management is set to 'Invision Community optimized'? There is no such file in the root directory. Or is it dynamically generated each time?

    Admin/Install directory after installation?

    Hi, I installed the forum as shown here: https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/advanced-options/server-management/install-and-upgrade-r259/ Everything went very well. But I have a question, is it normal that the /admin/install directory is not deleted? Does leaving it represent no risk? Thank you in advance for your answers.
