I would like to know how to remove part of skin copyright. I have NO objection in actively promoting Invision products and skin designers on my website (the skins are nice no argue there) but the promotion of casinos and other "stuff" just dosn't fit on my website. >_< If you know how to do it properly please help me. :ermm: If not please ignore this thread and spare me with the morality of removing part of skin copyright (cuz I'll do it one way or another). <_< Thanks,

Please help me in setting some features of the IPB2.2.2 as belows: As default my IPB display picture attached as 50% thumbnail, how can I adjust to other % such like 70%, 80%, 100% ... ?How can I change Display Modes from Standard to Linear or Outline ??How can I attached multi pictures to IPB, the pictures will be displayed in order as my request ? Since the upgrade to 2.3.1 the amount of guests on my board (mostly bots) have increased a lot! I use the new skin. Is this skin better accessible for bots?

Here's a suggestion: All outbound links get a rel="nofollow" attached in the <a href> tag. (Too many people are joining for the sole purpose of link-building, etc.)

There`s a language-selection drop-down which only has English (I`m sure for most forums). It`d be nice if it could be hidden automatically if theres just one language available.

Recently, IPS Hosting has been undergoing a few changes to our back-end systems to create a more stable and uniform shared hosting environment. In addition to the new theme that we have installed on, currently, a few of our many shared hosting servers, we've also been introducing upgraded maintenance scripts and various other systems to assist in the smooth running of our hosting services. These will be installed on all hosting servers in the coming weeks. One of the many scripts we are looking to implement will create a fix for a common cPanel problem, which makes it so that when a file is uploaded online, say for example through the IPB Forum Uploader, like a picture, …

Port support for mysqli driver (and others possibly)

With mysql driver you can specify host as "hostname:port" which works fine. With mysqli driver port has to be passed as a parameter to the connect function, and we have no support for this presently.

This has been going on since version 1 on the Magix forums. Is there a setting somewhere thats wrong or does this simply not work. Other forums have this working as expected - you vist the forum - press 'new posts' and get a list of - well you guessed it, New Posts and threads of course. Why does IP board show read threads and old posts along with the new ones? Thanks Martin

Is IPB compatible with Adsense's new authentication?

When people subscribe to certain threads or forums, they get notified via email. Happens with PMs, too. I have had a few people reply to the email, as if they are replying to the thread or message. How about a line at the bottom of the email that says "Do not reply to this message, as the forum administrator isn't the one who sent it to you" or something. However, I do see the problems, because when an admin DOES send something directly to a member, odds are you want them to reply..so having the "do not reply" could cause an issue... Just throwin it out there for thoughts, really..

What do the ban filters do?

Is it the case that Guests with banned IP addresses can't view the board? I always thought it worked like putting a member in the Banned group. On our board, Banned members can view the board and the topics. But to my pleased surprise, putting 74.6.*.* in the ban filter seems to have prevented the odious Yahoo bot from even viewing the board. Those addresses have disappeared from the 'Last click' list and our 'user(s) active' has dropped from 800-100 to less than 500. :D

Running a illegal IPB.

Sure enough, I was warned by the IPS Piracy Team for using a illegal board that I admit to using. Now, I was warned yesturday via email, and was asked to verify my license key, or insert it or whatever. I emailed the piracy@invisionpower.com email back (replied) and said that we may be purchasing a license this week. Will IPS take any other measures about this? Second, are there yearly licenses (For $70-$75)? The lifetime license ($150) is ALOT of money. Thanks. (Unless the $150 is the yearly license, correct me.)

Too many search bots

We recently installed 2.3.1 and immediately our visitors at any given time shot up from 200-300 to 600-788, with as many as 1000. This slows us up and overwhelms our rather feeble dedicated server. I notice hundreds of Guests have IP = 74.6.*.* Looked it up in http://www.all-nettools.com/toolbox and found Evidently the Yahoo crawler. I sent them an email but doubt that will have any effect. What I'd like is an option to restrict guests from a given IP range to 50 or so concurrent sessions.

Hello, I think that you should upgrade your customer list to include more clients. I have gone to a few sites that use Invisionboard such as SciFi.com, USA.com, NBC.COM to name a few and they are not listed on your front page. By just listing them, people will see that you have large clients. This will make it much more attractive since the people think if they use it then it must be good. Anyways, it wouldn't take much effort and is something to consider. Thank you!

I'm going to start a skinning site and I was wondering whether I could run another IPB other than the one I'm using for my main website. I already know that you're allowed to have one testing board but I want to know whether a board with registration turned off and no activity would fall under that. Does anybody know? Thanks. :)
