I change some jscript file and want compress it. I have tested ESC, But the compressed JScript seems cannot work. eg: when compress ips_text_editor.js, some function of Editor doesnot work properly. Which JS Minimizer does IPS use?

Subscriptions - Transaction IDs

Just a little nifty suggestion, before I give any of our custom made products out, we always ask for the transaction ID, and it got pretty annoying going to SQL toolbox every time, so I actually added it into the subscription center. I think IP.Board should have this as default, the transaction ID is a important bit of information. And while I am at it, I will report it in bug tracker aswell, but the last column 'Expires' is a bug. The user is in a never expires package, but it says it expired 6 years ago :)

Sorting Forums Alphabetically?

Hello i dont want my user to have the option to choce if the want others to se if they have edit a post. when a user edit a post i want the line on the post to say who has edit it. i cant find ind admin cp where to activate it.

IP address clickable on Online Users

In my old 1.2 version I had installed a MOD that maked ip addresses viewed in Online Users feature clickable, linked to IP Address Look-up Tool with selected IP address. This was very useful for me to control IP accesses. In last version 2.3.1 this mod doesn't exist. I think it's a really interesting feature to include in future versions, because sometimes we need to control IP connections. Regards.

It says NETWORK TIMEOUT or so when I try to report through the given report age and report forum, so I would like to extend this to the community, since I can't as said with that forum above. Well, I'd love to own a IPB 2.3.1 Forum, but can't afford it, yet. I hate people who pirate hard work of others. So, I SUSPECT The following sites to run an fake IPB 2.3.1 I only suspect these sites to run on a pirated software, but my feeling is strong with this.

If i get my site(and forum) hosted with IPS, it says the IP.Board license is included, thats great. my question is though, whats the catch? i hear IPB encrypts their files. If this is the case, can i be given unencrypted files? i plan on installing a few mods from InvisionModding.com, but i am also in need of a host at an affordable price, so IPS, can this be done? I've supported you til the end of the free era, and i miss IPB, i've used many systems to try to replace IPB, i don't like them. So can someone answer my question please? if i get the hosting can i get an unencrypted forum so i can add modifications?

redirect after login

this may have been answered before but i couldn't find a thread. i have a link to a topic... let's say it is https://forums.mydomain.com/index.php?showtopic=1501 and i'm not logged in. i don't want to allow guest or anonymous access so IP.Board will prompt for a username/password like i want it to. the problem is that the user is redirected to the homepage after authenticating rather than the thread. is this normal behaviour? i was expecting to be redirected to topic #1501 to read the thread. any help is appreciated!

Board Address?

I know there used to be a section within general config to change the location of your board address. Im confused as trying to link the old database to a new file set so as to upgrade the db. I have also checked through the db and the field isnt there. I have board name, website name and website address but not the other. Has it been removed? How can I change my board location? My friend and I wanted to buy an IPB license, we had to use IPB 1.3 and we had problems with installing mods. I don't want to buy IPB and find myself spending lots of cash on installing mods services. Due to this we had suggested to purchase vBulletin and when IPB 3.0 is out which is promised to have the hook system built in we will buy it with a converter. But the we thought why? untill 3.0 is out we will be already used to the board and will have probably a big community with lots of mods installed, why waste so much money for an IPB license? So I may be showing my age but during a recent security audit of my forum I was amazed to learn that there are logs for just about everything except user logins. My amazement comes from the fact that this is a time honored "Systems Administration 101" class of information that dates back to the first time shared computer systems. The simple act of who logged in and when they logged in is not captured by the IP Board software. Yet just about every other activity is logged. It's not like we are talking about a lot of data here. Anyone know how to do this? I know you have to go to make a custom BB code. I did that. I made the parametres be link And simply used a random video to get the youtube embed code from it, pasted it in the appropriate box in the BB code maker, and replaced the link section of the embed code with {content} The code works for the original video I used to steal the embed code from, but when you try using a different link for a different video, it stil shows up as the original video i used to make the BB code, either that or a blank square, where a video should be. The semantic web is coming for your children. Seriously, I'd like to go all OpenID with my site. I'm using drupal and moinmoin which are going to be supported supported but IPB is social heart of my site. Open ID support would make it much easier to integrate the three areas the way I would like. Well, I've been forum-ing for ages now, and one thing I've noticed: the majority of boards have more than one administrator. Now, IPB comes with a Root group, and a regular Admin group. While this is a good idea, I'd like my admins to do more than non-root can (Mainly in the Admin tab). However, if I add them to the root group, then that opens up a security hole. I'm suggesting a line in the config file for an array of "Super Admins" - user numbers that can edit any and all accounts, but cannot be edited or deleted by anybody.

A couple of weeks ago I contacted Mark at the toll free customer service line to report copyright violations on a forum hosted on invisionzone.com, and he assured me that someone would get back to me promptly. If that had happened, I wouldn't be writing this today. Who do I need to contact regarding this issue? The site has openly violated numerous copyrights owned by a site that I help manage, and I'd like to get the offending material taken down immediately. I just wanted to ask if there is a problem with Invision's own Email sending software? as every time I submit a ticket, I never receive an email response & I have to login to my client centre to see the responce to my tickets? The problem I have with my Joomla! site now, is that I don't have the ability to display the recent active topic on the frontpage. I use the RSS export feature in IP.Board. But that does only display only the latest greated topic. I want the ability to display the 10 recent active topics on the frontpage, and the list should update all the time to reflect the latest then topics that have been active. (Example: http://begin.no/ ) This should have been able with various outputs. And I hope this can be implanted in some future release if IP.Board. Since I think many would have find it usefull.
