zigs Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 When doing topics like this http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...p;#entry1500810 please state the time in UK as well  it would make life much easier for people like me who don't know the time difference
Watty Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 There are UK folks here? If that's the case, I would recommend using Zulu time (GMT) so as to not isolate the rest of the non-US-UK world.
zigs Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Well I suppose I might be the only UK person here :P
Keith J. Kacin Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Well, it was listed it was EST, so other timezones can calculate their time accordingly.
Mert Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 And the problem is this. Calculating from GMT time is much easier for some people. Or you can tell the hours for both timezones.Actually there's no problem for me, I know Turkey is 7 hours ahead than US but GMT would be a lot easier to calculate as it is the main time zone system.
Luke Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 How about a [time]10:00[/time] tag that will automatically detect the users time zone and adjust it for other users :).
Jason L Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Here you go....http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?Eastern/d/-5
Midnightmadness Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Looks like everything just came back online :) My friend was telling me he was getting all kinds of redirects when he went to my site
zigs Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Yes, we were down for nearly 2 1/2 hours, not half an hour :)
