I would like it if in a future version that the date in the Messenger reflect the same use as in the board index and topic view. I know it's trivial but I prefer to click on the date and not having that ability is a pain in the butt sometimes. Pretty much I mean on the Messenger topic view I want to be able to click the date to go to the last post. Thank you dears. Keep up the fantastic work! <3333

Had a user give the following idea im forwarding on. Is this active already and im just a patch down or something? ---------- Move the CSS out of every single page and into a style sheet... come on GAS, you still need to do it! Example: This page with CSS (compressed): 33kb This page without CSS (compressed): 20kb 40% saving of bandwidth just by fixing that faeces. It'd be awesome if we could use <else if> as well, so if we have multiple tests to run we don't have to enclose them in giant nested <if> statements. Is this doable?

I'd like to know, if there are any plans regarding horrible IPB search. In its present state, it's simply useless. It finds nothing, zippo. I mean, it does find a lot of things, but totally irrelevant to what was put into search window. I love IPB board, but the search is just NOT acceptable.

Just how Twitter works, when someone uses @UsersName it gets linked to the @UsersName profile. The same could apply to the status updates, as I have seen many people (on different sites) use @UsersName to basically reply to a members status.

We a the admin selects a skin they have to go to the main board to see if it change or not. I think making an iframe or something that would load the main board or front page so that the admin can see the change all or something like that.

Hello i have an issue and i cannot solve it .. every 5 minutes ( more or less ) i got this error when i browsing my site , and i should refresh the page to load my site again i contacted my host support and this is the last reply from them i disabled every addon i have even my shoutbox and i still got that error do anyone knows what is the problem is ? I know that I grumble once in awhile, but it's time to give credit where it's due. IPS has great products and great support personnel. This latest board (3.0.5) is just incredible and the ACP has been redesigned for ease of use, even with a bunch of new features. The IPS support staff (I know I'll leave somebody out) - Josh, Jason, Michael, Mark, Matt, bfarber(Brandon?), Charles, Debbie, and others are the best you can get. A sincere thanks! :thumbsup:

I do like the mobile design. Clear nice view of content. I even thought of making it my main theme after I "IP.Content" the rest of my community :D That being said, I hope to bring up one suggestion: As you are redesigning the "View New Content" area anyway, please include the Watched Items there. The majority of people will not submit feedback because this requires work. The best way to facilitate this is give more than the forum as a tool for input. Idea #1 Let the tech support upload and idea as long as it comes over in written form. Idea #2 When an individual (with certain rights) submits a ticket, also offer the option of a feedback button on how to improve. This would mean that while I'm cursing out the software and asking for help, I can also input my suggestion on how to solve the challenge or to at least advise you of my concerns. Hello, I would like to say to all those individuals considering making the move from vBulletin to IP Board that in my opinion you are making a very smart move. I left vBulletin because of the major and costly change they made to the vBulletin licence and how it affected current loyal customers of their product. I also recently experienced their lack of caring when a customer makes a comment about their licencing policies even when communicating in a private manner with the company. IP Board is a top notch piece of software and the help I had in migrating my vBulletin forum and Photopost gallery to IP Board and IP Gallery was first rate. Thanks Invision!

I always get to the last part of the installation , where it says "Click to start installation " and I click it and this pops up Fatal error: Class 'db_driver_' not found in D:\Hosting\5772725\html\forums\admin\setup\sources\base\ipsRegistry_setup.php on line 1190 I love these errors they never say how I should fix it.

Hello, to my knowledge this does not currently exist, but if Ive missed something then please guide me to how it's easily done in all skins without actually editing the skins. Everything in your system requires typing or reading.....this is so 1990! 1. Create screen capture videos so that I can follow someone through the steps. 2. Give me audio files that I can use. 3. Supply pictures. At least 3 times what I was told to do did not exist because the screens had changed. With images I would have known this quickly.

As always users resist change. When we first went to IPB 1.2 from a WEBBBS flat file forum users were screaming. Same when we upgraded to 2.x and of course now when we upgraded to 3.x. But the storm has subsided and users are prattling on. Some Mac users are saying they can no longer use their CMD + Up Arrow to navigate to the top of a page. Users are wondering if IPB 3.x has done anything to negate browser navigation??

To show on the thread pages if they go to the first page of the thread (instead of perhaps clicking on the newpost link). I accidentally forgot to include it in a recent update and lots of my members asked to have it put back in! I didn't realise it was so popular. I can't see the option here on IPB so posting as a suggestion to get it included.

In a lot of places, there's only space for names and not the group name. I think it makes more sense if we have an option to apply the color directly to names, not just group names. Since that is what will be shown on every pages, including gallery, blogs and etc.

This has been requested before by others. Would like to be able to limit how many emails are sent out per hour maximum. It should count EVERY piece of mail sent out. Would also like to have priority options, such as being able to give new registration emails and admin emails priority over watched content notifications. Being able to specify a buffer (how many mail slots should be reserved for priority emails?) would help accomplish this. Also, when using the option to 'Subscribe to every forum', would like to be able to control how many people are notified per cycle. In the search module, when selecting a date range, there are buttons for pop-up calendars that can be clicked to input the date wanted. This sort of pop-up calendar is commonplace on many websites with a booking engine that requires dates such as booking flights or hotels or renting cars. Yet when entering a new event on the IPB calendar, there's only the dropdowns for entering the date. Would it be an idea to have a calendar popup too? Yes, the 3 dropdowns allow selection of a date pretty quickly, but it's nice to be able to look at a calendar as you often need to know what DAY a date falls on in order to select the correct date for your event.
