Hi all. I've just renewed my licence and went to activate the API Key for the Spam Monitoring Service but came across an issue. I logged into my client area and it says the spam service is active but i'm unable to obtain the key to put into the Admin CP. How can I obtain the spam key as I'm getting attacked by spam bots :( Any help/advice will be much appreciated :)

Hello, when i install a Style in version 3.1.4 is the style ok. But when i click "sign in" than open a little Window for "Sign in", i give the Login dates and click under the "Sgin in". Now come a Error "[#10193] We encountered a problem processing your login request. Please try again. " what can i make for bugged ?

Sorry if this has been suggested before but ... I have a lot of members and "would be" members who come from the Facebook world. As much as IPS has improved the usability of IP.Board, most of these Facebook members won't post due to the complexity of posting and uploading image attachments on IP.Board. For those of us who have used message boards for years, it's a piece of cake. For these people, it's daunting. Has anybody at IPS considered making a basic skin that performs the functions of Facebook without all of the added bells and whistles that newbies have to wade through and try to understand? Hello, First of all, I must say the hooks system is great. Congrats on this very well done feature :) I know this can be a very complex thing to do at this stage, but it would be great if a template hook could be ran once for each topic's post instead of once for each topic. Perhaps removing the post content from the main topicViewTemplate and adding it to a new template (like postRow) and then parse this template on each topic's post? This would eliminate the need of editing the topicViewTemplate in many cases. Thanks, SCS

Whilst deleting yet another topic from a spammer I was thinking it would be good if I could flag them as a spammer at the same time of deleting that topic, at the moment the topic has to be deleted then I have to go back into that users profile to flag them. It would be good if this could all be done whilst deleting that topic.

Square personal photo thumbnails (or avatars if you going to replace avatars in some sections instead of photos) could be in square format. Like in new gallery. When different photos are in different sizes, layout of some widgets can be ugly.

It will be really good to make Chat present on each page (depend on group acces of course) like IP.shoutbox in fact, then no need to choose between navigate on forum, or Chat. And with this option, give possibility to user to activate/see or not this chat on each page. When we land on the VNC page, how about showing a little number next to each tab (like the chat does up top when someone is in there) with the number of new items for each area. Blog, gallery, forums, etc. Thoughts?

It would be great if you could compare your current installed App version numbers with the current release version numbers within the AdminCP. For example, if I have IP. Nexus version 1.01 installed, it would be nice of my AdminCP could show me that the latest release of Nexus is actually 1.1.3. This could logically go in the Applications & Modules > Manage Applications & Modules page in the AdminCP. It already displays the installed version number of the Apps, all it would need is another column called "Latest version" or something, and have that column contact IPS similar to the "IPS Latest News" on the main admin page. calendar improvements are needed as the present calendar is very basic and overlooked on upgrades just something i would like to see is.... when theres an event in the calendar, the date highlighted and to be able to hover over the date and see a popup preview of the event on that day. The option would be very useful when shown as side block on the main index.

With VB it was easy, IPS not so much. I don't want to go through the hassle of changing supper mods to mods no matter how easy it is. I think there should be a setting to disallow super mods from hard deleting. Something we can see in the next version?

Looking to get more forum statistics like most active loggins, Hotest or most popular topic, most active user, Highest new post creator and so on for monthly awards. Also like posts where most reputation was given and so on. Also looking for a way to extract certain ID fields from members list into excel or some kind of file. As an example we have XBOX GT, PS3 ID, Steam ID and we would like to be able to download and post a full list for all our members with the forum username. Are their mods out there to help with this? Am I just missing how to run them? Thanks

I just have to say that coming from VB, dealing with IP is like a breath of fresh air! Everything from the support, to the board here, to the people behind it all. It's just all better. THANK YOU ALL! We have some minor issues to overcome, but I am confident that our move away from Vbulletin was a good one. I plan to see how this goes and will likely migrate a couple other sites when the new version of IP comes out (really like the gallery on this site and one of the sites is really image dependent) Anyway... I just wanted to say thanks to everyone both on this site, and in support. You're appreciated, even if I do freak out from time to time. :)

Hello, I am not seeing this in the software, and my forum members are asking for it. We came from a vBulletin site and they liked those features. Is there a way we can get a button to show the first unread thread in the topic they enter, and be able to let them unsubscribe from content they have posted in already? I did not see either in the marketplace for a add-on. If it is there, would someone be kind enough to tell me what it is called so I can look for it through search? Thank you

I get a lot of people who post for support on my resources who just tell me the thing isn't working, and upon investigating the issue with them I'm finding that they're importing the XML file in the wrong spot. People get used to importing hooks in the Manage Hooks section, so they think everything can get imported there. When they try to import a media tag there, it acts like it was successful, but shows nothing was actually imported. Instead of showing that, could these pages where XML files get imported at do some basic checks to see if the file being imported is the correct type of file for that particular action? If you have a board that is storing a large number of personal messages (mine has over 300k messages) then deleting a PM will often take a surprisingly long time for what would apparently be a very simple action. On my site, which is a pretty decent dedicated Linux box (4 GB RAM, 2 x 2.2 GHz Opteron 175 CPU), the deletion of a single PM can often take 15 seconds or more. Hello ! :) I'm really really really unhappy with the new "Find my content" in a member's profile : when you click on the button, it returns all the topics where the member has posted... This is nearly useless... Now I have to go through each topic to find his posts... This is an incredible loss of time. In the past, "Find my content" used to return all the posts a member had posted, not the topics where he had posted. Finding a member's posts can be important, for moderation for instance. Now, I need to find posts made by a member who often posts racial insults, and I can't. Is this something which can be configured, and if not, is there a solution ? Thank you !…

Some years ago, Brandon talked about adding a classified application. I'm sure lots of customer want this, nearly every IBP forum I know about has a 'classified' section, using just normal categories/forums. I'm aware of this mod, but haven't dared to install it since it's not officially supported.
