Just like pre-set warning reasons, since there is no more "soft-delete" I want to turn off delete for mods, and use hide. But then I want to be able to filter these results in modcp by hide reason so I can delete the garbage. So when hiding mods could choose... Hide reason: For Deletion (for duplicates and all posts for deletion) Violation Preservation (do not delete) Other ______ Whatever they may be, admins set the reasons in acp and the ability to add a custom reason would still exist.

I bumped a topic in "IPB 3.4 and below" about this before realizing it was a few years old...sorry Anyway....I have a research-oriented site and would love LOVE it if there were some way to create footnotes in database articles and pages, via BBCode or some other way, in a way similar to what you can now get natively in MediaWiki. That would pretty much make IPB my one-stop research tool!

Here's something that really helps guide forum members through the process of setting up their account better. Buttons with links that guide new members with uploading their avatar, creating their first post, creating their signature, etc. and even includes a progress bar. This is an excellent way for new members to become better engaged in the community and it's a fun process and less frustrating experience. While not a new idea, it's nice to have this message added to the bottom of a new member's first post. It highlights the obvious. . . The current IPS Community allow the setting of custom icon images for forums. But, for no reason, as long the community basic settings should be the same across all the apps to keep consistency, icon images cannot be set for Pages categories. Please, add the same basic feature for Pages. Let us set a custom icon image on the AdminCP for Pages Categories. It makes no sense the use of the "comments" symbol of Font Awesome for Pages.

The members list results in search is loading 25 results, however, it looks a bit odd to always have 1 additional member on a new line and nothing else after it. Even with the responsive design there will always be 1 additional result, lowering it to 24 would make things look much nicer in every resolution: 24 with 2 columns = 12 full rows 24 with 3 columns = 8 full rows 24 with 4 columns = 6 full rows with 25 results instead it doesn't look as nice: 25 with 2 columns = 12 full rows + 1 row with only 1 member 25 with 3 columns = 8 full rows + 1 row with only 1 member 25 with 4 columns = 6 full rows + 1 row with only 1 member Here's a direct url to see…

I think it would be cool if we could (optionally) set our sidebars up so that they are adaptive to the page's content. So for example, if a page is only a little tiny bit short, then we could define certain blocks to match the height of the content. ie: The post someone is looking at is very long. We set it so that, say, 50% of the adaptive sidebar is from a 'recent status updates' block and 50% from a 'latest posts' block. So up until 50% of the height of that post, is the status updates block, then the other 50% is the latest posts. If using a select box type for your custom profile field it can't be searched in member list? why not? Search should be able to have a drop down that matches the select box. Select boxes are actually the best for search results because they create consistent data where regular text boxes do not. EDIT: Issue discovered, see following posts for explanation. -- this needs fixed.

I often want to add a note to a topic as a post for moderation or even noting something in a suggestion topic etc. I could post it and then hide it but then there's the chance it would be seen (and posting in hidden forum and moving is not efficient). It would be really great to have the hide function available in composition. Basically like support tickets where techs reply but only they can see, but on the forum. Permission based but for admin and/or mods. Has anyone else had this need? The framework is there, not asking for anything fancy just hide before posting. Thanks!

before in 3.x there was feature for the attachments icons and number of downloads , it will be useful for the users of 4.x to have the same again and it will be better than keeping the attachments in the posts showing as a normal url

Required, especially. Let's say you create a field and you add it to 4 products. It's only required in 2. Now you have to create a totally new EXACT field, because required is set at the field, not product level. These settings at the bottom could all be at, or overwritten at, the product level. Display when purchasing? Can be edited in the client area? Required? Thanks

So I have been running a few polls on my site for some upcoming changes that are coming to it and I had noticed that there are no longer poll indicators. This has made it to where polls, which are easy to quickly vote in, are not as easily recognized and so missed. It would be nice if there was an indicator similar to featured and whatnot to indicate a poll. I have added one to my site already and it was an easy skin change to the topic but it would be nice if it were default.

But it would be ask of IPS if there can be a place to dismiss the red banner. I know about updating is important and all but current I won't be doing such a thing for a few weeks. But it poping up all the time does seem to cause a issue in the front end. I don't mind as much as in the back end. Is there no way to dismiss this so that it will stop showing up in the front end?

Something I've been thinking about that i think would be a pretty cool future feature for IPS to have would be the ability to let users change the colors of the default theme, I know some people like to use the default theme for their sites and change it's colors, and not every user of said sites have the same color preferences. So maybe adding a color picker, perhaps similar to some of the color changing themes out there would be a good move, or even better might be something that instead of using cookies to save color settings, have an actual setting in the users settings area, so their color choices would remain, even if cookies were cleared or another browser or devic…

When publishing articles in the future via pages if you have comments via forum topics enabled the topic is posted with the date when the article was first saved not the date scheduled to publish - meaning the topic can be listed days or weeks in past instead of using the '$this->record_saved' as the topic date option use 'time()' instead in records.php (lines 2055 and 2068) that way the topic date should now match up to the article date when published not as sometimes happens days or week old

Notification email contain a complete response in the discussion. This reduces the forum visit. How to shorten the cited content that the user read the contents on the forum and not in the message the? The notification should look like. The first several characters and the full text by clicking the forum. Maybe someone wrote a plug-in that fix it?

Please add support for Playstv to be embedded just like YouTube. With playstv being part of AMD Gaming Evolved, a lot of people that game are starting to use it and for game video it is much quicker for us than to have to then upload the videos to YouTube where the video quality gets diminished.

Bug reports are moved to the Archived Reports to soon, right after the new version is issued or even before it. It is not possible to reply in the normal way if the bug report is archived and not really fixed. Make archiving after issuing of the next version only (Ex., if a bug reported fixed in 4.1.11 then it should be archived after the 4.1.12 is distributed). You simply do not give time to check and reply. Example 1 and 2 (don't want to waiste the time looking for the url of the bug report).

Hi, I know that every specific forum have its own RSS feed, and this works great. But I wish there was a RSS feed for a CATEGORY, that will basically combine all its sub-forums and will display the latest topics from all of them combined. e.g. https://invisionpower.com/forums/forum/180-sales-feedback-and-information/ Is it possible to have this functionality? thanks
