Important update!There's something funky going on with the permission extension system. We think we have a fix, but in the mean time I've reverted those changes and pushed a new release out. If you're using Beta 1, please update to Beta 2.1 (so named because I was about to release it when we started investigating the permission issue!) I'd expect the permission system changes will be restored tomorrow. Thanks for your patience!

Nothing was changed in that area as far as I know. It looks like Windows is complaining about the temp file.

Beta 4... It's Friday, it's 4pm so here's another beta. I just wanted to clear up the editor button stuff, and squeeze in a few more fixes. If all goes well, we'll do the final release Tuesday of next week. I disabled "Chatbox FREE" and "Tutorials" apps and now your site works. You'll need to get those upgraded for 5.0.6 compatibility.

I just edited my message, but deleting that file mentioned above should fix it.

We think it's because a rouge applications/core/data/editor.xml file made its way in, which was removed in beta 3, but it won't remove it on self-hosted installs. If you delete that file, the button should vanish.

On your site? If you update your details in your client area, I can take a look. I'm checking out your site shortly.

Beta 3 Released! Some of the eagle eyed among you, and also those with the correct prescriptive lenses would have noticed a secret message appear on your editor in Beta 2. To be clear, this was not a subliminal message to tank the stock market, that's been handled elsewhere. This was just a test plugin that snuck into the release. Beta 3 just removes that test plugin to un-confuse you and your members. You will have to manually delete applications/core/data/editor.xml from your install after upgrading.

It's just not possible due to how the editor sees everything as nodes. The only way around it would be to effectively launch a text box and use that, but it would mean you would have to use a text box for future edits forever because the moment you turn load that content in the normal editor, it would remove everything it didn't have a node for breaking the content.That's not a great experience imo.

If you can make sure ACP/FTP is up to date in your client area, I can take a look. Your browser console might hold some information too, so it's worth looking there.

This will be fixed in the next beta. You have support as part of your license purchase. We'd have gladly helped for no additional cost, and still can. I'd advise against giving people you do not trust access to your AdminCP. Or at the very least, change the password once the work has been completed. I've seen many things over the past 25 years but switching to another platform because you forgot your password when upgrading is near the top 5 most incredible moments.
