I think this means you want to have the editor hidden. If so, custom CSS:
li#_report_message{ display:none; } Â

Please update your site to the latest release in the first instance. You appear to be a few versions behind. Once this is done, check again. If you are then still having issues, disable all 3rd party items to test, as you have quite a few errors in the system logs related to 3rd party

LiveG reacted to opentype in AWS Simple Email Service
It usually just works. Turn it on and then use the Test Settings button on the same page to send yourself a test email.Â

LiveG reacted to opentype in AWS Simple Email Service
That’s not much to go on. Please describe your needs. How much emails do you send per month?Â
And what is you are struggling with currently without an external mail service? Do you hit send limits with your host? Do you have delivery issues?

LiveG reacted to Randy Calvert in AWS Simple Email Service
There is nothing simple or straight forward with SES. It’s a great platform but those two words don’t come close to describing it.Â
The plugin allows you to send email via API commands to AWS SES/SNS to handle. It allows you to also process bounces that AWS receives to automatically have IPB handle it (disable mail for the user, block user, etc).
The plugin does not do all of the AWS setup (either SES or SNS). Â It does not get AWS to approve you exiting the sandbox.Â
It’s a fantastic tool and the author has great support. Just realize SES itself is not for the faint of heart.Â

LiveG got a reaction from Hostingunlock in Marketplace Closure
Very disappointed.
The marketplace allows me to search for apps and perches quickly. Get updates automatically, and be sure the process is safe.
Now it's all gone. Jungle all over again?
Quik Integration between developers--> IPB--> customers is vital, especially nowadays when for every second feature missing in the core platform, you need an app for this.

And that point is when 'you' post in it.

LiveG reacted to Dean_ in Google Ads/AdSense integration
I use the current ads system built in and add code. You can customise how the ads look via Google. You can obviously have them show for different groups. As for mobile integration again, on Google you can customise the size.

LiveG reacted to Marc Stridgen in My site is "choking"
Not to the degree you are seeing there, no. The only thing mail will cause is a small delay when sending a message if its struggling to send quickly. The other issues are server related unfortunately
-
LiveG reacted to Jim M in My site is "choking"
This is no longer a thing in our current Cloud plans.
Keep in mind those requirements we provide are purely minimum requirements to run the software. You would need to work with a server administrator to ensure your environment is properly configured for your traffic if you are seeing slowness.
-
LiveG reacted to Jim M in Moving to cloud - Yes or Not?
We try our best to minimize downtime. More than not, it’s same day, just a few hours between. If you have an extremely large community or something goes wrong though, that can extend the timeline depending on what the issue is.
Â
Our email service will send emails from your community through it. It will use our email address as the from and your address as the reply-to though. If that is a concern, you may wish to use another provider.Â
-
LiveG reacted to Jim M in Moving to cloud - Yes or Not?
Correct. Once you take the backup, your community will need to be offline or you would not transfer any content/settings/changes made afterwards.
-
LiveG reacted to Jim M in Moving to cloud - Yes or Not?
Typically, you would just provide us a backup of your database and file set in a secure storage link we provide. Then we move it to our Cloud infrastructure. Very straightforward.
As far as cost, it would be best to talk with our Sales team for finalized information (I am not sales 🙂 ) but most cases, it is included. If you do not have communication open with them, please let me know and I can open one for you.

If you are unsure on how server optimisation will help on the basis you have a lot of CPU and memory, that would most certainly emphasise why would need someone running your server. As while you can make a server perform better by increasing those if configuration is done correctly, you can actually make no difference at all by increasing these in any way if configuration is incorrect.
Just as a very very basic example. If your mysql is set to utilise 8gb of memory, you can add 500gb to your server, and it will make no difference unless you change the way mysql is configured accordingly.
In terms of cloud, we have US and EU based servers. We also have many customers using cloud in the middle east

LiveG reacted to Miss_B in Changing ACP password
To create a new password, you can either generate it through the follow link:
http://www.htaccesstools.com/htpasswd-generator/
or through the command line. Either method will work.Â

LiveG reacted to Miss_B in Changing ACP password
Look at the .htpasswd file. That info should be stored in there.Â

The idea is you really shouldn't care about the environment in any way. Thats our job. Ask yourself, do you want to look at server parameters, or do you want to run a community? Most people, in our experience, play with servers for one of 2 reasons. They either enjoy it (no idea why lol), or they have simply always done it that way. Most fall into category 2. As mentioned by Randy above, most tend to find the idea of letting go harder than it actually is.
In terms of which plan to go for, you wouldnt be lookin at cpu/ram etc. Again, boring. Thats our job. The only consideration is storage, and what features you want to be able to use. You can see all of those here
https://invisioncommunity.com/buy
You can indeed. I see you are currently using a subdomain. What would happen, is once you are moved over and you have checked to ensure things are as expected, we would provide you with 2 CNAME entries. You add those to your domain, let us know, and we take care of the restÂ
Support is the same in terms of the software, except you can contact via email if needed. Of course the main change however, is we are in charge of your hardware environment too. So essentially, if you have a problem you contact ourselves unless it's a 3rd party item or something you control yourself such as an external email service if you decide not to use ours.

LiveG reacted to Marc Stridgen in relative dates problem
You would need to translate the relevant strings. All those strings begin with _date_ in terms of the ones you are looking at. If you take a look at the following guides, these show how to translate, but we are unable to assist you with doing this, as with any other customisation

They also have the size/scale AND the budget for it in terms of people and money. 🙂Â
Thats like saying a little league baseball team should be able to do something simply because a professional league baseball team can.Â
I can see why and agree that it makes sense to pull IPS out of the transaction. What would be nice is if there was a better aggregated resource discovery tool. Nothing that handled the sale… just discovery. Â
