No problem, Nigel. Do send him my message above though, as that would certainly cause it

To clarify, you are using the same suite key on the same redis installation for both instances. So the constant 'SUITE_UNIQUE_KEY' would need to be changed on the test instance

Thanks, so far it's looking like the Redis caching was the issue. Our internal team is doing some more checking to confirm and then we need to work out what we can do to avoid it from ever happening again.

    Hello,
Not sure what you mean by notifications feed. This resource creates a notification and sends to members and they will be displayed in the notification's appropriate places, like:

    and the notifications page: https://invisioncommunity.com/notifications/

This is actually how I use it. it does everyone at once, on mine it takes about 10 minutes to go thru all 150K members though. Does not show to guests.

Yes, this happens to us from time to time as well.
    Ok, thanks for the reply.
Is it something that would potentially be built out one day?
Or is it not worth chasing?

If you take a look at the following guide, this shows how email templates are built up, and how you can edit them to your liking

That would explain why some of our members reply to the email notification rather than clicking the button to go to the thread in the forum:

You can add the following to your constants.php (create one starting with <?php and a newline if you don't have one yet):
    \define( 'EMAIL_DEBUG_PATH', '/dev/null' );

If you have your original conf_global.php file you can use that along with the regular files from the client area. You might have to fix some values in the file if the domain changed etc but it should have all of the settings for the database.

Otherwise just install IPB into a different (temp) DB and let it do its normal vanilla install. Once done edit the conf_global.php file to change the MySQL database to the original good one.

As a best practice, make sure you have a backup of your good database just to be 110 percent safe.

Also I’m assuming you’re installing the same version of IPB that matches the database. If the files installed are a newer version, you’ll need to run domain.com/admin/upgrade to update the DB to match the web files.

If you wish for both templates to be updated, and to have updates to templates, that would be the way to go
  20. Agree
Nigel Moore reacted to Matt in What is the best practice to modify child theme html?
Yes, so any templates you modify are not edited or changed during an upgrade, so you will need to manually add any elements that have changed. You can use our theme diff tool to see what has changed between releases.

Hello, what is the best practice to modify child theme that inherits parent theme(Default)?
I would like to modify our current child theme, but dont want to overwrite it when there is a new update in parent (default) theme.
    Thanks

When I attempt to turn on Manifest support, I get an error saying that the URL cannot be found:

However, the URL definitely exists as it's the most commonly visited URL on our website, showing the Latest Activity stream.
I would assume that it would be possible to use the Latest Activity stream as the custom Start URL as this is the URL that makes the most logical sense out of any URL on the entire platform.
What could be causing this to happen?
(I've used the exact format mentioned in the description)

Yes, you're correct - we're a private community so guests should absolutely not be able to see anything at all.
    How do we fix this?
