  1. I’m afraid, this would need evaluation by your SMTP provider then. As Randy mentioned, this is not done at the software level.
  2. You would need to remove that line as instructed
  3. The sender would be the same regardless of the carbon copy which is attached. Is this on your community which we can review your mail sending settings? If any email templates have been modified, please revert those temporarily to test as well.
  4. Glad we could be of assistance 🙂
  5. Please disable rewritten URLs in ACP > System > Search Engine Optimization. If that fixes your issue, you will need to download the .htaccess provided on that same page and apply it to your server before being able to re-enable rewritten URLs
  6. Any PHP upgrade which is done, check to ensure you’ve included all required modules. You can use the requirements checker here: Outside of the above and what you mentioned, you’ll want to check your third party addons for PHP 8 compatibility in ACP> Support. Some have things which will completely break your install if they are installed and disabled so if you have any on that list that you don’t use or have been abandoned, best choice is to uninstall.
  7. Glad to hear that this resolved your issue 🙂
  8. This would be server caching doing something it is not supposed to. It either was caching whole pages or sessions which results in the behavior you’re describing. This would have been a server configuration fault by the server administrator of the site rather than a software issue. We would never expose other users information in a manner like this.
  9. You will want to check your conf_global.php file and remove every mention of IPB_Firewall. This not a product we make and is evidence your hosting was compromised quite some time ago.
  10. Our team replied back to you on September 13th 🙂. Please check your email for the response.
  11. Looking at your community, "Secret Squirrel Club" is a member group which you have. You also have Group Promotions setup to move individuals once they achieve the Achievement's Rank of "Community Regular" to this "Secret Squirrel Club" group. That would impact moving anyone who has met these requirements to a different group. So if you want to move someone out of that group, you will need to adjust your group promotions rule accordingly or it will just automatically move them back.
  12. Could you please elaborate on what was done? If something was done which was modifying existing tables/data, you would need to continue with your third-party provider. If this is a plain installation again, without modifications to the database, we would need the URL of the issue.
  13. I would check what Randy mentioned, in addition, ensure that you have not disabled access to this module in ACP -> System -> Applications -> expand system.
  14. You can still utilize VigLink if you desire but it will be a more manual setup than what was there before. There is nothing in our software preventing you from doing so. Our previous setup was just outdated.
  15. As mentioned, I don't think there is any advantage to doing this. The straight path is the best path 🙂 .
  16. Are you intending to provide this feature to all your users? Unfortunately, that was not intended to do with this feature so you may hit some bumps in the road. However, I have reported this internally as these permissions should be separate for a moderator. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.
  17. Please be advised I have tagged a developer to provide further feedback.
  18. Please keep in mind that this is not suggested (or supported) as there are many relational tables within the database and if you don't get every instance, it can completely brick your installation. The worse part of this, is you may not know till later down the line. This is why we recommend doing everything via the software itself. You can use the "Move/Delete content" option in ACP -> Community -> Forums to delete content or the whole forum.
  19. 4.7.3 is compatible with PHP 7.4. PHP 7 just went out of support from PHP this month. Invision Community 4.7.4 is the first full release which forces PHP 8. Why there have been a lot in motion from us to alert customers 🙂 .
  20. If it is not compatible with PHP 8, it will break, unfortunately. The short answer is yes. The risk of running third party plugins on your community, unfortunately. These are all ours or programmed by us so will be fine.
  21. Has the system completed deleting all posts in ACP -> System -> Dashboard -> Background Tasks? If so, you can perform a recount, by going to a member -> click "Posts" -> Recount -> Recount for all members.
  22. I would suggest temporarily removing read/write separation to see if this resolves the issue.
  23. No, we do not. Many, many, many moons ago I think we had a feature that did this but it's one of those things where it really is a waste of our time where we could be improving the software in other areas because your server does it already and much more efficiently.
  24. You would want to talk with your hosting provider/server administrator what the best option for you would be. They would be able to provide any suggestions that would leave you in the best footing. Also, if you have many sites on the server, they would be able to tell you how to backup/restore each one separately (if available).
