ok,  but if someone comments on the article then it doesn't show up in the forum discussion --- thus there then there is a disconnect of the discussion, right?  This is what I'd like to avoid.

As reading through this discussion in this thread it seems that several here who wanted the article discussion in the forums have changed their mind and now use the feature to promote the topic post and all comments to the new Article.  
I do prefer to have my discussion content in the forums as the application "Blogs" really didn't work well on my site because my members look for topics only in the forums.  I don't really see my members looking through an Articles database to post comments, thus my need for this app was to highlight the best of the topic posts on a proposed new front page to the site.  The new front page is mainly to attract new members to the site.
Maybe the simplest feature to add for those who choose to only promote the topic post is to choose whether or not to allow comments. -- thus a statement as I wrote above to follow the discussion to the original topic can be manually added as needed.
 

My need for "Promote Post to Article"  is completely different.  My members bring new topics to the Forums every day, quite a few of those topic posts are original blogs.  I want to create a front page that highlights these topics.  It's a continual process.  However, I don't want to have two locations on my site for a split discussion on the same topic, thus I wish for the comments to go back in the original forum topic for discussion.   
The app currently puts all new comments on pages as you need, several of us have asked Adrian to give the option for comments to return to the original topic post or on the newly promoted article.

Ok. Will do it until (or during) the weekend.

I thought the suggestion to offer the user the option to either create a new topic or use the existing topic was the best solution.

Thank you for this plugin Adriano!  It worked great.
I've been wanting to remove a few followers from the Moderator forum for some time.  
One suggestion to the app in the future is the ability to select specific followers to remove if possible rather than remove all and then re-select the group or groups back into it.

About This File
This plugin will give admins the ability to add or remove followers from forums/categories across the suite. Tested on:
Forums Calendars Downloads categories Gallery albums A few 3rd party apps, like Tutorials, Videos System, etc. Note:
General rule: it has to work with any app that uses Categories. Not compatible with Pages. It will be in a further version.

New version released that patches quite a few issues new and existing, recommend immediate upgrade.
Edit: Although not specifically tested for, I believe SSO (Facebook/Twitter) accounts should now work also. If anyone who has regular social media signups can confirm this for me. I tested several different validation scenarios but also seeking feedback to how the newest version goes here.

Soon, I WILL have all outstanding updates done next week.
