i've upgraded the socket.io from 1.4.5 to 2.0.3, as well as elephant.io to the latest version (seems there was some issues with php 7.1 )

i've tested php 5.6, 7.0.22 and 7.1.8 with apache and nginx with node.js version 4.2.6 and 6.11.2 (haven't test 8.x yet).  i have yet to run into any issues with babble self hosted (well one, that involved the notification and time bot, but i've fixed it). 

media 2.0.2 released, fixed issue with seeking on uploaded videos, changed validation token on uploaded videos to a time based token instead of a one use token. disabled context menu on video player.

this is factually incorrect,  it might be true you are having issues with it but it is not true for everyone else who is running the application (including myself on my sites), i have upgraded 3 clients this morning to 4.2.3 and they run babble 2.4.0 and they are not having any issues with it.

the issue you are having with the image tags break was fixed several versions ago.

hit a wall with "guides" and "roadmaps" so i will be pulling these two features from 2.1 and be releasing them in a later version  so i will shoot for tonight or tomorrow on releasing it. 

i should add, why it wasn't working  when i cut up the downloads template from 4.1, i broke the template up into a few templates for easier management, when i upgrade them, i either didn't update the one that contained these or didn't save the template not sure which (i tend to do template stuff late at night, usually long after i should've went to bed).

yeah it is caused by the same reason why the "report" and "reactions" aren't showing up. I have it fixed in 2.1

I like the idea of a "banner", not sure about background, might be more problematic than i want to deal with, considering the issues that some themes can produce. 

this would be a problem with collabs, i would suggest contacting the author of it.  looks to me they are trying to access a invalid language string, their code should be catching the error or checking to see if the lang string exists.

i used the 4.2 template, i'll check, i hadn't noticed they had disappeared.

i have no plans to modify how payments are handled for paid downloads (as that is handled by IPS Commerce).

should be viewable to any one who goes to the store, i'll double check the conditional there, might've mucked up and told it to only show to author (actually i think i might've wrapped it in the code for the "store link").

correct, it should be like if you had sent a bulk mail from bulkmail in the ACP.

Edit: found it. It's visible to sellers as a button link that gets copied to clipboard.

if you have a suggestion where else it could be or another manner it could be handled, please let me know  to me it was an obvious way to do it, but people might disagree with that

have friends that live up in st. joe missouri, it is only about a 30 minute drive for me, but st. joe is gonna have hundreds and thousands of people there from all around the world. just glad i don't have to go to one of the public viewing areas

right now the only thing i have planned coming out is downloads plus 2.0.0. there are a few things on the drawing but nothing in concrete yet. 

make that a 4 day weekend, i live only a few miles from where the total eclipses path is taking place in missouri, so i'll be doing that on monday  

Downloads Plus 2.0.0 update:

okay i figured out what i was doing wrong. it doesn't seem to see "downloads" items that are purchases as "product purchases", so the code i was using from the bulkmailer wasn't working. i had to develop my own. it all appeared to be working last night, but i'm gonna give it another go today to make sure i got everything i wanted to do this release, so cross your fingers it might be out later today  (i will do everything in my power to get it done today, as tomorrow is my birthday and i am taking a 3 day weekend).

an update for dplus 2.0.0

it seems i have a bug in trying to get the bulk mailer option to work. I can configure one from the download, see it in the ACP, view it, see who it is being sent to, etc. but when i push it to the actual queue, the queue appears, runs, but it doesn't actual send anything out. I will need to configure my dev board to debug emails, and give it a go there, to see what is going on.

its coming along, fixing a problem with notifications atm for support. it sends a notification to the file owner if they submit a support report ( i will add them on my own if i find a bug that i am not able to fix right away  ).

I am trying to streamline the install of the self hosted version (to make it easier, so i am trying to put as much as possible in the acp and have it generate a new babble.js after the node settings tab has been changed). I am also trying to make the install smaller, as it was getting quite big and including the node modules along with emoji one, removing those things the install tar of babble went from almost 8 megabytes to 1.5 megabytes. hopefully i will not have to change the babble.js again till 3.0 (as this recent change was to try to solve the online list ghosting problem).
