I developed a quick plugin last year for this matter:

Thanks Nathan. I actually was using it but it just got too tedious. I'm in and out of the back and using GA every single time was driving me nuts. Not to mention that my two other admins threatened to feed me mushrooms (I hate mushrooms 🤐). But I agree, better.
Thanks to all. Like I said, not mission critical, but just a little security tweak.
-
It's actually permanent. I type it in every single time I have to log into my admin cp. In my case I use my favorite sports team. So, again, in the interest of max security, now everyone knows what I would answer. Is it a critical security flaw? Probably not. But it does feel awkward to type what is meant to be a private phrase openly. If one uses the converse logic, one could argue that it's not necessary to hide passwords either.
-
Nowadays with virtual meetings, I sometimes show my screen during a call. If I have to go to the Admin CP, and I have to sign in, the two-step verification window is now visible to all. As I type in my challenge answer, everyone gets to see it. Considering it's a form of password, wouldn't it make sense to at least have the option to hide cover the answer with dots like a password?
Not mission critical, but I think it would add some security comfort.
Thx.

Set up a step and configure it how you like to either send the email or send a PM.
Set up another step to do the other action and choose to do it immediately rather than to wait a period of time for "Wait Period".
I'm not seeing why this wouldn't accomplish your goal unless I'm misunderstanding?
Hi. Nope, you're not misunderstanding; I was. Had not realized the app could also send PMs. So it can, right? 👏

Hi.
Love the concept. Any chance that you might someday make it a combo: drip email + drip PM? I'm currently using 'x-days after' PM plugin, but yours would be a double whammy. Thoughts? Thx.
-
Understood. Thanks so much, as usual.

So I'm a little confused here.
The only two apps I have that could be doing this are - I thought - yours: Tell a Friend and Invite System.
As you can see, I've installed it and it is activated. Also, as you can see, the only link at the top is the invite link, not the tell a friend link. So weird... Let me keep digging. Disregard 'QSP'... I changed the language.

Hi Adriano. I'll PM you a url to a screen grab on my end. Still doing it.
Maybe just a Mac Safari issue. Will try with Chrome or Edge...
Nope... Does it with Edge too (on Mac).
I mean, frankly, I don't mind. As long as it incites them to invite a friend, form or direct to email is fine for me. Just thought I'd let you know.
-
Interesting. In my case it opened an Apple Mail window. No pop up... Hmm.
-
Hi Adriano. Sorry, having difficulty with the email sharing. When I click the email icon, nothing happens. Same thing if I click the email icon in the sharing. Is it a configuration issue on my side? Thoughts? Thanks. BTW, I'm on 4.5.
**EDIT**
Today is my edit day. NEVER MIND, my mistake. Works fine.

Hi again. Bought and installed but I now see that there's no widget there either. It's still in the menu only. My bad.
**Edit**
Now I found the widget 😉 At the bottom of the column. My bad, again.

Hi Adriano,
Would it be useful to create a widget/block that allows a user to enter an email and invite? I find that my users are not inviting as much as I would like them to and I thought that if I put a widget in the sidebar, they might simply enter an email address and hit send.
Thoughts?
Thx.
**edit**
Oops. I just found this:
Let me look at it a little...

BRILLIANT. Thanks Nathan!! Done.

Hi.
Found this cron job sitting in my cPanel. Not sure if it's IPS or left by a dev. Thoughts on what it is?
Secondly, I'm concerned that is references php73. I've upgraded to 7.4, should I be changing that to php74?
Thanks
/opt/cpanel/ea-php73/root/usr/bin/php -d memory_limit=-1 -d max_execution_time=0 /home/xxxx/public_html/applications/core/interface/task/task.php 0661e7caa8e82410fc3aa669001eddae
xxxx is obviously my cPanel username 😇

I’ll add a third option in next version. It will be global and will affect all quizzes. 👍
Now please get out of my living room 😇

Hello, I’m not entirely sure. Have you checked Quizzes settings-> Views tab?
There are a couple of settings there but not show it at all isn’t an option, if I recall.
Currently there’s a setting to choose where you want to display it (two different places) and the number of records.
I’ll add a third option to not display it all, if it isn’t an option now. Check the settings and let me know.
If you answered any faster I would think you were in my living room!
I did check and, you are correct, there are only options for how to display but not yes/no display or what to display. Not mission critical, but in my case it would be very useful.
Thanks again.

Hi Adriano. Tried to search but did not find...
Is there a way to entirely hide/remove the Leaders Ranking. Maybe do so quiz by quiz? There are some (in my case most) quizzes in which I would rather not show the rankings. And, frankly, in some cases I would be okay showing who took the quiz, but not their score.
Thoughts?
Thanks!!

Thoughts welcome (this one is above my pay grade).
I have a Wordpress site running Formidable Forms. I want to embed a 'view' into an Invision page. This is the code they give me (I've replaced what needed replacing) but still no go. I pasted it into as page html and also tried as a custom block. The form view does not appear.
Off hand, does anyone see anything that jumps off the page?
On another post, I read something about how jquery loads?
Thoughts?
Thanks so much for any help.

Back after an absence 😇
I'm setting up a new newsletter and see that posts by guests who have not yet registered are appearing in the newsletter (I have it set so guests can post prior to registering). I can't find the way to exclude those posts from appearing in the newsletter's recent post feed.
Help? Thanks!!

Thanks Paul. Fixed itself. About ten minutes... Note that many of the apps were past due (not really past due, but I had left the community frozen in time about a year ago). I expected to be automatically charged as I was updating. Anyway, for now, it seems to be updating. If it blocks again, I'll open a ticket. Thanks again.
-
Update to all. Reverted to my 4.4 backup. Re-upgraded. Seems to have worked. The only thing I did different was deactivate my 2FA and pre-deactivate all apps and plugins.
Thanks all for your help.

Hope this thread is not too cold. Same problem. Started updating, it was going well, and now I keep getting the same message. Thoughts? Thanks.
Member groups to follow a specific forum
in Technical Problems
Posted
Hi all.
Is there a way to force/assign a member group to follow a given forum (automatically). In other words, I've created a forum that I want all members of a specific group to follow and rather than get each one to do so individually, could I just match that group with that forum?
Thoughts?
Thanks!!
PS. Yup, searched but could not find the answer 😇
