  1. Hi there. I seem to be having an issue with approvals. My members' permissions show them as not able to auto-approve. And yet, when they post an item, it gets approved automatically.

Thoughts? Did I miss a setting somewhere?

    Thanks all!!

  2. Currently, when we create a topic on auto welcome on behalf of the member, we agree that the 'notify me' and therefore the 'following' are negative, right. In other words, the member is not notified of replies? If that's the case, which I believe it is because they do not show as following their post, it makes it difficult to alert them of the post.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks.

PS. Still lobbying for changing hours to minutes on the posting delay 😥

Please don't forget that this is as far as I remember a free plugin?

Yup, indeed it is. And everyone is grateful. But as soon as you put something out there for people to use on their commercial sites, there is a degree of responsibility that goes with it. This said, I have zero problems with the app, other than my little issue of delay, but just saying, from a very general standpoint, that free needs to also work in a commercial context and, correct me if I'm wrong, most people who buy IPS, do so in a business (or non-profit but still mission-critical) context.

In closing, I really think this should be core IPS! It is such a powerful tool.

  4. Still having having a mini issue. When I put a product into the newsletter, only a link (scrambled, at that) appears in the newsletter. There is no image or product description. Is that normal? Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?

    Thanks!!

    **EDIT**

Also, just saw that my stats are at zero. I've asked three people and they assure me that they did open and clicked. Thoughts? Thanks.

  5. Hi. So my error happens while registering. Here is the screenshot of the error. If you'd like I can do a full video with the campaign creation but basically I did like you did but the registration is the problem.

  6. Hi Adriano. I'm getting an error on campaigns when I set a limit to Maximum new members allowed. No limit = no error. Limit = error. I've tried small numbers and big ones (even ones larger than my current membership). Can you reproduce? Want to try on my board?

Note that I'm on 2.4.3 and latest ips.

    Thanks!!

  7. Hi. When a guest fills out a form, as it should, ips asks you to register. If the guest registers, and validates their email, the form does not then get submitted. Shouldn't the form appear in the logs if the guest follows through with registration?

No, only one ticket per giveaway; this is to guarantee everyone has same odds in giveaways. Only in raffles you can purchase more than one.

    Thanks Adriano.

    Follow up.

    1. Can a raffle ticket be $0 or does it have to be greater?
    2. I assume Admins can be submitters?

    Thanks

  9. Hi Adriano. Tried to read through the forum, but not sure...

    1. Can a raffle be 'cancelled' if a minimum number of sold tickets is not reached? I would, of course, explain the minimum condition in the rules and refund everyone if we don't reach the minimum.
    2. I assume that if someone organizes a raffle, the payment still goes to the forum and then we have to forward the payment, or can the organizer put in their info and get paid directly?
    3. This is minor, because I can do it manually, but I'd like to give tickets to those who reach a certain number of converted invitations. 5 people register, you get a ticket. For now the two apps don't talk, right?
    4. Last: in the case of a giveaway, can a member receive more than one entry? I'd like to give them a ticket every time they reach a given number of invitations, or posts, or whatever.

    Thanks!!

    Jim

  10. Hi Adriano,

After using the app a little, these are my observations as regard my own usage.

It would be useful for applicants to have the option to edit their application after they've been accepted, albeit with moderation. Here's my thinking. I'd like to use their application as a form of profile sheet. Let's say, for instance, that the applicant lives in Denver and moves to Chicago. I accepted them because they were in Denver and that's where I needed them. Now that they're moving to Chicago, I'd like to know so that I can reassign them to a Chicago position. Or, for example, imagine that initially the staff member did not know PHP so he did not check off the 'I know PHP' box in an 'experience' field. He now knows PHP, he should be able to come back and check it so that I know he's learned it.

Which brings me to managing staff. I'm hoping to use the app to manage a category of volunteers — possibly in the thousands. It would be very useful if there was the ability to automatically promote an approved applicant to a specific primary or secondary member group. I could then search, message, etc. based on that new group. I could do it manually, but going to the member's profile and changing it there, but if I start getting lots of applicants, it'll become an issue.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Jim

Feature Request: Ability for users to create a Personalized message that is added to the invitation email they send.

It would be great if you could add the option of custom welcome message in the invite mail sent in future versions.

Hi Adriano. I was thinking the same thing as these two. Couldn't find your response. I think it would be really useful for the inviter to be able to write in a plain personalized text message to the invitee. It shows that it really comes from him/her. One of my members sent out an invitation and thought it was spam. I think if there would have been a personal message inserted into the stock message it might have been seen differently. Any possibility? Your thoughts?

    Thanks again.

I’ll consider the draft posting in a future version. 👍

Thanks but, frankly, the hide function works perfectly well, as long as people think of doing it. You're busy enough as is 🥺
