    I wouldn’t get too excited, unfortunately. 😉

Until you realize that search results can contain results from all different apps, which can have different moderation permission configurations and options (e.g. you can't "move" a status update). While this doesn't make the request insurmountable, there's actually a lot more to it than just slapping up some checkboxes and calling it a day in reality.

You CAN hook into it, as long as it's on a specific class. Meaning, you can hook into \IPS\forums\Topic, just not \IPS\Content\Reactable. Is that not sufficient for what you're doing?

    Hi all,
I have a request that will only take a few minutes of your time, and will give you something in return.
We're finally getting around to creating books and guides to help new customers get comfortable on the Invision Community platform.
I'm looking for a few positive quotes and 'soundbites' we can use on a few pages around the site, on social media and in these guides.
Hopefully you've got nice things to say. @LaCollision gave us a very nice quote a while back.
    So things like:
That sort of thing. If you have a specific use for Invision Community, then we'd love to hear from you.
If you are happy to leave a comment, please also leave your name and URL to your site.
If the site is safe for work, then we'll link back to it when using any quotes on our site and on social media.
We get a fairly health bit of traffic so I'm sure you'll get a good number of click throughs too.
If we get 20 useable quotes, I'll post an exclusive picture of Charles and Lindy holding a hotdog from 2008. I did not seek their permission before making this promise.
    Thanks for reading!

@Lord Nowe I would recommend all, generally. You can really cut down on actual server-side HDD space requirements by pushing as much as possible to S3.

Amazon S3 for storage coupled with Amazon Cloudfront for the CDN is becoming a popular choice, yes.

    As noted in your ticket:

I can appreciate you've done some research on this, but you are referencing deprecated extensions in MySQL. Invision Community utilizes mysqli and the process (ssl_set()) is different than simply appending a flag. In addition to changes to the database handler, you would need to generate a certificate, bind that certificate to your installation, etc. It's certainly not as simple as setting a flag and while Azure may provide a mechanism to somewhat simplify this by generating a certificate (though it doesn't work with mysqli without additional setup), it's unfortunately not something we presently support on an application level or have roadmapped to support in a self-hosted capacity.
The proper method, with SSL DB or not, is to secure transmission between your web nodes and the database on a network level. There should never be an opportunity to "sniff" a connection from other nodes on a network to database, because only your web nodes should be able to access the DB. A virtual network, vlan, virtual private cloud and appropriate security rules should be utilized so that only web nodes are able to communicate with your database. In the case of off-premise access to the database, network rules to only allow specific IPs should be created and enforced.
I apologize for any frustration and inconvenience. This is rather environment specific and not generally an out-of-the-box offering.
I'm sorry I couldn't be of more assistance, but we appreciate the feedback.

I really need the image unmodified - once it is uploaded to the software, it no longer becomes usable as a test case as it's been altered.

You guys are great..... I just spoke with Charles this morning and was very impressed, being a current vb user.... I'm sold on what I see here.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the rest of you and thank you for all this information while we transition to our new home.
