Is it possible to change the link from the "Actual" url to the "Posted link" url? If user posting google.com url, show as: <a href="https://www.blablabla.com/boards/links/link/google-com/">Google.com</a> Instead of: <a href="https://www.google.com/">Google.com</a>

How can I hide this? The posted link, I think will be legit is to link the actual page of the link for sharing and not the direct link.

I moved back to the origin server, because of long downtime...so no more external DB needed but, if I remember, I had an error 500 page with a message of "Invalid route" or something like that...

Hey all, I need some help with an already installed IPS and moving the database to an external server. I already tried few steps but without success by editing the conf_global.php file: 'sql_host' => 'localhost', 'sql_database' => 'xxxxx-db-name', 'sql_user' => 'xxxxx-user', 'sql_pass' => 'xxxxx', Tried to change the host to the external server after added the IP to whitelist using Cpanel with the hosted files to Cyberpanel server. The ports are the same, there's one difference with the mysql.sock file: Cpanel server: 'sql_socket' => '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock', Cyberpanel server (CentOS): 'sql_socket' => '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock', There's something that I miss?

So what are you saying is that Udemy.com did some FW rule that disables the embedding link from them? I moved my site from cloudflare, and I still unable to embed links from them, and there are move websites the unable to do it. Edit: For some reason it started to work again, I think it's related to the SSL side. What's the prerequisite for a proper set up to make it work? FW rules, which ports should be enabled? PHP version, extensions in PHP to enable?

So as I understood, some websites blocked cloudflaire IP with a custom firewall rules? (for example Udemy blocked those websites?) Why there's some website are working and some don't? if there were a rule, so it should be blocked with all websites if it was on cloudflaire side, or not? And I checked, I have no rules set in firewall page.

I have same issue with the latest version: Trying to paste a links from Udemy: https://www.udemy.com/course/ethical-hacking-hacking-real-websites/ But it doesn't changes to the rich ones, other links (not all of them) works properly such as https://www.plesk.com/pricing/

Resolved: conf_global.php, the sql_socket was located in a different place in the system: 'sql_socket' => '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock', instead of 'sql_socket' => '/var/run/mysql/mysql.sock', The error can be more informative, it should be detected and show that this is the issue at the first place. @bfarber

I checked that multiple times, I'll do something else right now, I'll try to re-install a fresh one, and try to connect a new DB. if it will work, i'll try to replace the new to backed-up files. It seems like the conf_global.php is the issue here... Update: I performed a new installation and it works properly. Now, i'll check the conf_global file and compare it to the new one which is created in the new installation.
