If it is indeed a write issue, as kotaco suggested, this would be something to bring up to your hosting provider. This would be solely impacted by their server configuration and drive performance.

I faced a similar issue with occasional errors, the cause of mine was some PHP resource settings. In particular "max_input_time" was set to the default of 30 seconds, it needed to be increased to avoid timeouts when writing files

My suspicion here is that template files are occasionally not writing to disk, and you have disk template caching enabled. I would advise on switching this off if it is causing you issues. You can do this from System->Settiings->.Advanced Configuration, within your Admin CP

Thank you. The hidden group thing is no biggie. I must have dreamt it.
I have noticed that the "Allow filtering by this group?" setting, which hides a group from filters such as the online user list and member search is not honoured.
I look forward to the marker colours coming back soon. 🙂

JohnDar got a reaction from LoPoSt in Snow
I'm running Invision version 4.4.9.1 and I'm having an issue (in Snow version 1.3.2) where the snow doesn't stop at the bottom of the page. It continues falling forever and causes the browser window (Chrome) to infinitely extend downwards to accommodate the flakes. This happens on the default theme. Snow version 1.3.1 works fine.

The updated version was posted on Tuesday.
@JohnDar Thanks, I’ll look into that.

All good. I have my 997 markers back.
It took a bit of hacking about, because my best table membermap_markers table was from a pre-IPS 4.2 DB backup.
Many thanks for everything you do, Martin.

Take a backup of the table, then run this query:
UPDATE membermap_markers SET marker_open=1;

Oh my, that is not good. That is not good at all! Expect a new version in a couple of minutes.
Unless you have a recent DB backup, getting your markers back is unlikely. Unless they're just "soft deleted", in that case your should still see then if you browse the markers.

Not 100% sure if you can "cherry pick" a table from a complete backup. What I would do is import the backup as a new database, then export just the membermap_* tables, which you'll then import to your original database.
