April 28, 20241 yr Community Expert MP3 and other audio files supported by browsers can be embedded in topics and played by the browser. The same goes for MP4 and other video files.

For the dIY you can self host Castopod which is also tied into the Fediverse. It would be better in using a dedicated hoster for your podcast episodes than using IC. You'll also get analytics for your show from the host.
