Editable Gender List

The Gender profile field has 4 options, blank, Male, Female, and Not Telling.

 

Please make this list editable, as I wish to allow those who identify as non-binary or prefer other gender descriptors to be included.

Doesn't have this field by default on the system, at least not on mine. Didn't you create?

Check a gender related discussion (about a different feature) suggesting that gender selectors in general are better to be coded as a plugin:

I do have the field under ACP > Members > Profiles > Profile Fields > Profile Information. Never added that manually.

Mine doesn't have this field. It may have come from older versions

I guess it was removed, XF did that afaik too. Too much trouble nowadays.

Was the gender option removed from the software? This isn't ideal for our community.

It was a custom profile field. It's been removed from a fresh installation, but it can be easily added from ACP.
