Marc Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 Could you please confirm you are on the latest release of the platform, and that you are using a default unaltered theme with no plugins activated? Also, please check to see which pages you are on when you believe it to be showing incorrectly. We can then take a look at that
Howard L Martinez Posted October 5, 2021 Author Posted October 5, 2021 no i am not on default theme , but its also not changing to default theme and plugins disable. i am receiving error on website.com/index.php
Jim M Posted October 5, 2021 Posted October 5, 2021 Are the links that you're clicking to arrive at these variations each part of the software or are they manual links which may be outdated in your system?
Marc Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 Also as mentioned above, please check which pages you are clicking on the links on that area leading to an incorrect location, and let us know these pages. We can then take a look Jim M 1
Marc Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Did you manage to get this sorted @Howard L Martinez ?
Howard L Martinez Posted October 9, 2021 Author Posted October 9, 2021 just why u not see the meta tags and title why not work for the link i add ? like mywebsite.com/index.php , because i don't know if some specific click goes to this link but some time when i go to home page its open mywebsite.com/index.php and also when every i open any section its open like this mywebsite.com/index.php?/topic/etc its index.php in my all links its right or some thing is wrong ?
Jim M Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 If your links contain index.php and are not being rewritten to exclude it, you would want to check the Rewrite URLs setting in ACP -> System -> Search Engine Optimization. Please ensure you follow the instructions (in the description of the field) to apply the .htaccess. (please note: .htaccess only works with Apache web servers. If you run something else you will need to have a server administrator write these URL rewrites for you) With that said, the index.php should not be impacting anything from the meta tag editor. However, we would need to know the URL which you are finding these links on and if they are a part of the software or manual.
Howard L Martinez Posted October 9, 2021 Author Posted October 9, 2021 what are the advantage of enabling rewritten enables? and removing the index.php from all urls ? and when i click this its open the index.php https://prnt.sc/1vgyv8o
Marc Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Your screenshot isnt showing on the link there, so I cannot see what you are looking at. The advantage to using rewrites is that they are more human readable to your members.
Howard L Martinez Posted October 10, 2021 Author Posted October 10, 2021 may be u see the screenshot now if u not its show just when i click forums in my home page its open the link website.com/index.php and all wrong meta tag and titles and friendly url also good for SEO?
Marc Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Friendly URL would indeed be good for SEO, yes. If you are seeing index.php then it is indeed because you dont have friendly URLs switched on within System->Search Engine Optimization
Howard L Martinez Posted October 17, 2021 Author Posted October 17, 2021 stll meta tag is not working properly when its showing forum - website name when i enter the meta tag and title for this page https://prnt.sc/1wh40s9
Marc Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 Did you ensure you have the htaccess in place as previously mentioned? If so, we would need your access details on file to be up to date for us to take a closer look. Your FTP details at present appear to be incorrect
