HRN-Admin Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 To whom it may concern, I had recently emailed support asking if there was a way to enable forum signatures on the mobile devices or for non-logged in users. Apparently this is not possible without theme customization. Forum signatures are very important in our business because we require some of our members to add a disclaimer in their signature that they work for a clinic. This provides our readers with the knowledge that certain information might be coming from a paid representative rather than a non-paid member. Moreover, moderators include a statement that they are not medical professionals which is also important as we don’t want our advice to be construed as medical advice. Furthermore, those who are allowed to put links in their signatures often do so because it’s important and we often are trying to get readers to click on those links to visit other parts of our website. Now currently, I am going to look into having our developer customize the theme to do this which is how I’ve been told it works… Though I guess it doesn’t make sense to me as a non-developer. However, I strongly suggest that in future versions of the software, that you provide options in the native software to turn on signatures for mobile devices and turn on signatures for non-logged in users. Please let me know if this may be an option anytime in the near future. Best wishes, Bill - managing publisher of www.hairrestorationnetwork.com
Joel R Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 Aren't signatures enabled by default? There's a per-theme setting to turn them off on mobile, but they should be viewable by default.

Joel R Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 I see. Thanks for the clarification. I was probably thinking of the hide sidebar on mobile.

Support this suggestion. This plugin enables signatures for guests (not on mobile):
HRN-Admin Posted July 28, 2018 Author Posted July 28, 2018 Ramsesz, Thanks for the plug and information. My webmaster just installed it on our test site and it doesn’t seem to do anything. Is there something special we need to do to set it up and configure it? Bill

There is no special setting. Works on my ips 4.3.5 forum. If it doesn't work on your forum you could ask @All Astronauts to assist you on this.
HRN-Admin Posted July 28, 2018 Author Posted July 28, 2018 Ramsesz, According to my webmaster, it’s not working on our form for some reason. He is going to continue looking at it first however, I’ll be majorly contact with the person you mentioned if they can’t get it to work. And yes, I’m aware that he is supposed to work for guests but not the mobile. Apparently we have to customize the same to do it for mobile which we are working on Bill
steve00 Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 can be done via css if interested (no template changes)
HRN-Admin Posted August 4, 2018 Author Posted August 4, 2018 OK, so a developer helped me with the line of code needed to put in CSS. Very easy once you know what to do. But here is my other issue, it seems that when people are logged in, the signature is standard color, basic black which is what we want. But for guests, whether it’s mobile devices or a computer, it’s orange which is part of our theme but seemingly is expanding to our signature. We handle guest signatures with a plug-in - is this why?
