Members randomly logged into other member accounts.

Hi,

I have a serious problem on my boards, members are getting logged into other members accounts, i have no clue why this is happening and there is nothing on the logs on the boards, this started happening last night while i was sleeping, when i woke up i was greeted with many messages from people telling me how they were logged into account with access they shouldn't have.

I can't even begin to explain what caused this.

Haven't seen this issue on the forums I'd file a support ticket asap. I think this merits critical status.

The only thing that I can think that (might) do this is some bizarre server caching setup but that seems quite unlikely.

It happened on my forums too a couple of times in the past, during the first week after upgrading to IPS 4, but the problem seems to have disappeared on its own, just as mysteriously as it had appeared. I don't know what exactly fixed it. I used the ACP error fixing thing that deletes cache or whatever it does, and then there was the new upgrade to 4.1.7, and it eventually stopped happening.

I remember a bug in the early days of IPS4 but can't remember what it was.

Generally this is a server caching issue so I would suggest double checking with your hosting provider if it continues.

This was exactly the issue, the cache had been deleted on Sucuri, all sorted now. thanks.
