Converter - Seems Really slow

Featured Replies

I've just started doing a conversation from Xenforo, but the converter seems really slow.

I've been looking at the database and it seems to be converting about 1 member per minute, at this rate it will take forever, have I done something wrong?

Also what do "follow_missing_member" and "follow_missing_rel_info_orphaned" mean in the error log?

Anyone?

I had to abandon the transfer because it was taking too long.

How big is your board? The conversion can take some time to complete.

Madman is right. Larger sites might just take longer depending on database size also the amount of power CPU and memory you have on your current hosting plan. If your shared hosting expects some slow downs. Virtual Private Server typically a shade faster converting.

I'm on a dedicated server so that shouldn't be an issue.

Do a test install with a dB copy. Let it buck.

Agreed... I would to a dry run and see what happens.

If not too, I don't have much on my schedule. If ya want I could play around with it. Or even convert on my end and pass back the converted dB and make sure your up and running.

Make sure you are using mysql 5.6 / php 5.6 as well.
