Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted December 18, 201410 yr Hello, can we have an upgrade finish tool for Community Suite 4 as we have in "IP.Board 3.4.7 Tools 1.0.1" ?
December 18, 201410 yr There should in theory not be a need (I asked something similar) as you can force cache rebuilds by emptying the /datastore directory (assuming you're using that method, its usually default) and the caches will get rebuilt.
December 18, 201410 yr Author Hello AndyF.In fact, I restore this morning the database of previous beta. On server, I delete all files and folders except conf_global.php and uploads.I do not know what is not well rebuild, but the default theme is broken. I see several template_1 files in /datastore directory.
December 18, 201410 yr We are not prepared to create tools to "recache" at this time, as we want to focus on ensuring the underlying problems that would cause a recache being needed are first fixed.
August 12, 20159 yr We are not prepared to create tools to "recache" at this time, as we want to focus on ensuring the underlying problems that would cause a recache being needed are first fixed.Well my busy site has been down for hours over caching. Unreal!
August 13, 20159 yr would be useful to have some tools available, re-cache and post rebuild to start with.could save support a lot of time dealing with tickets, if people could try and fix issues then self's might be an idea to put v4 back to beta and fix all the bugs and issues, you only have to look through these forums and see what a disaster it is with all the issues its causing.
