How to add announcements?

When you click the ">" button on the left side of the screen you can add an Announcement Block. To me it says it can't be shown because of missing configuration. 

Already used the search function in the acp but I can't find a setting for it. Anyone can tell me how to make this work?

Moderator CP > Announcements > Add Announcement.

It's a little clunky. Hopefully a third party mod to streamline that with some ajax or something will come along to make things much faster/smoother.

How can i hide the Announcements for guests :unsure:

Maybe add a suggestion in the feedback forum to have it added under the create link, that way an announcement can be made anywhere. you are in the suite.
