VNC - Why do I keep having to reset it back to "Content I have not read"?

As the topic says why do I keep having to resetting the VNC filter back to "Content I have not read". Here's what I mean.

Press VNC, select forums as content type and set VNC filter to "Content I have not read".

You can now go and view a few topics. Now go and look and your personal messages. Just select any message. Now press VNC and select forums for type again. Why is the filter set to "New since my last visit"?

Here on IPS's own site it changes to "Past 24 hours". I would suggest that the filter shouldn't change unless manually changed.

That sounds like a bug to me - I'd recommend reporting to the tracker.
