Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
March 19, 201014 yr Author I will fix that right up immediately. Strange that this didn't occur in testing.
March 19, 201014 yr Good to hear Mat....Also get Root Menus working properly. :P That's kinda important to me.:D (the dropdown thingie)
March 19, 201014 yr So, any news on the overloader issue? http://community.invisionpower.com/index.php?&app=tracker&showissue=21259&view=findpost&p=82940
March 19, 201014 yr I cant understand this as I commissioned this mod with Charles's permission and paid for it, I installed it on my machine and I don,t have any of the problems I see on here, It works perfect for me. And just what I wanted. Mat has done a bloody good job, as I seen so many people asking for a drop down menu on this forum, I asked Charles if he would allow some of his code to be used for which he kindly gave permission, I had Matt make it and gave him permission to release it. It does what it was meant to be a drop menu and works perfect as such. :) :)
March 19, 201014 yr Author I've updated the latest download of the app. Because I updated as many files as I did though, it's not possible for me to distribute in this thread for obvious reasons. Download is available at: http://community.fus...sion-menu-v102/. You will need to register this time, and we will need to associate the correct permission mask with your account (we will match against the email in our sales system, so make sure that you use the same one!) NOTE: We still haven't completed the IPB patch to allow more than one skin overloader. This requires a bit more extensive testing as we need to modify core IPB files for this.

March 20, 201014 yr Author v1.0.3 released to fix a bug Gerry encountered. Download updated at same link, I haven't incremented the version number in the files as it's just a patch to menudata again.

March 20, 201014 yr Mat, the patched files broke my installation of the mod....It's all messed up now..I still can't delete the thing and it's the same problem I was having, except now all my menu items are in a dropdown box that's un-named....can't edit it or delete it..... I hate to sound like an a$ but i really regret buying this mod. http://boards.revillution.com ^^ see board.
March 20, 201014 yr Im sure Matt will have a look and sort .... Just unlucky with the problems in IPB and cant be helped Give him his due .. he;s here and tryin to get it sorted :)

Just unlucky with the problems in IPB and cant be helped Give him his due .. he;s here and tryin to get it sorted :) Bearing in mind that it is the weekend and Mat is in NZ then you may not get a fix soon (I can wait for the IPB fix for the overloaders, ie 3.1).
March 20, 201014 yr yeah must admit Im the same ... If the fix works I will of course apply it, but failing that I am working around the issue for the time being and will wait for 3.1
March 20, 201014 yr The fix 1.03 works fine. It does not fix the overloaders problem - but it does fix the other reported problems. I am using this on live sites now.
March 20, 201014 yr Glad to see Mat is working around to solve the issues. I really appreciate his efforts.

That right there is my pet hate - the "orphaned" menu. This issue should not occur under 1.0.3 (I've tested on three of my own forums using two completely different DB engines and two different versions of PHP), and if it does you can run the new "fix menus" tool. I've sent you the latest version of the files. If we can't get it working, we don't want you regretting a purchase by the way - we have a refund policy if one of our products does not work for you, provided we see some effort to work with us to fix it first. soniceffect: I can tell by the username you use as well - the mapping of member groups is manual since this product doesn't have a client area application for it. Maybe I need to create one. Anyway, I've just emailed the latest version to you also.
March 20, 201014 yr Author Side note, I just realised that the file I sent you was v1.0.4 - only change between 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 is the fact that the donate box disappears from the homepage since it isn't meant to be there anyway.
March 21, 201014 yr Mat, found a minor bug in the menus with IP.contenthttp://revillution.com/ When using Board Wrapper, it keeps the menus colapsed and distorts the rest of the layout. Please provide a fix for this ASAP. :) thanks.
March 21, 201014 yr Author I am looking into it right at this moment. I wouldn't call it a minor bug though...
March 21, 201014 yr Author This looks like it is actually a bug in IPB. For some reason, the minify script is returning HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request if the file "public/js/ips.boards.js" is included in the files to fetch. I would log a ticket with IPS for that one were I you. I can write a quick patch to force the correct JS file in if you like?
