Genestoy
It was my understanding that there would be a control in the ACP to turn off images in signatures? I see no way to do that in the ACP? If you enter 0 in the images and 0 in the image size allowed it still comes back as "Any number images" and "Images of any size"? What is the trick to not allow any images? bfarber
Hrmm. Sounds like an oversight. That's something we might have to touch up for the next version.
Jmiz9000
Try -1 , you get a wierd error if you try, but it works
AtariAge
Good catch, since I will definitely be using this feature to disallow graphics in signatures. :) ..Al

bfarber
The intention was always to allow disabling of images (without any weird errors) so it's something I'll be looking into for 3.0.1.
TCWT
btw, on quick edit, pressing tab from the text box doesn't go straight to the "Save Changes" button now. :(

Thanks Brandon, I was sure you or somebody else had said before that this was going to be in 3.0 so glad you are receptive to adding it. It is a much needed item in the acp as some folks really get carried away with signature graphics/images. For now I just went into the "Manage Languages" and changed the wording of the top two to "No images" & "No graphics, one can also remove or comment out the code for the top two also. BTW - no weird errors for me -1 comes out -1 and -9999 comes out -9999
Jmiz9000
BTW - no weird errors for me -1 comes out -1 and -9999 comes out -9999 Actually it messes everything up, leaving it blank gives you the same error too So i guess my idea doesn't work :( I guess writing letters works too, and doesn't give you the same problems as using negative numbers [#10211] You may only use up to no images in your signature. In that case, please allow both 0 and -1 where one is unlimited and anotherone is disabled. * A little off-topic, but the same goes for "Maximum number of negative reputation points this group can give in a 24 hour period" setting (and positive ofc). Would be great if -1 would disable it so we could remove the access for some groups (as 0 is unlimited). *

wohali
Sorry to thread necromance, but I have the same quesiton. Is there any way to retroactively enforce the restriction, or must I go through every user and wipe their oversize signature images manually?
