I had a user register with an invalid email address so i receive a bounceback email informing me of the invalid email address. The issue is that the registration email was then attempted to resend every hour, which lead to me receiving bounceback emails every hour (and could eventually lead to email server getting blocked). Has anyone seen this or something similar before? In the past I would get email bounceback from invalid addresses and that was it... it was a 'one and done'. Is resending the bouncback email part of my server sending emails or IPB? Are there solutions (built into IPB or custom code) to check emails before being sent to see if the email…

Hello, I gave this topic a 5 rating. If you hover the cursor over a rating and move the cursor away, the rating does not return to its original value. Hi all, long time no see 🙂 We have an old forum, lasti time updated around 6 years ago, which we want to 'restart'. Now we do not have access to the admin panel so we cannot see the present version, but it is at least 6-7 years outdated version. Most of the things will change, but as forum is over 15 years old with thousands indexed pages, we would like to keep them still indexed. Also, even we haven't updated this forum in years, lot's of members has been there all these years. So we would like to save our members too. What would you say, would it be wiser to just update whole forum 'normally', or start from clean table, and only take members and posts from th…

Hi I want to make sure that the CDN (cloudflare in this case) completely ignores any of it's interventions when my users are trying to upload files to my site (to the downloads app) I tried this: path: *mysite.com/index.php?/files/submit/* rules: Disable Security, Security Level: Essentially Off, Cache Level: Bypass, Disable Zaraz, Disable Apps, Disable Performance But no luck. Is there a specific path I should use? The rules are perfect, but I am not using the right path. Does anyone know what path should be used so all of these rules will apply and not interfere with someone trying upload files?

Quite often in my work I use a menu skin for guests - ie. enable new theme and guest permission to monitor and analyze changes I make. Already in version 4.7.15 I noticed it, but even now in 4.7.16 it exists. Now I have enabled guest permission on old theme. Here's what I get - I've purposely included an original IPS theme: For all other groups of users - no issue. Is this just in my installation or...?

After successful download of a language, the dialog does not close, instead the loading icon is displayed, until it is closed manually by clicking X.

Here how you can replicate. On Promote section hit X to delete a promoted topic Pop up appears and quickly disappears without hitting the OK to approve or cancel button. The promoted topic already deleted without confirmation.

I have multiple calendars and user groups. I updated to 4.7.16 and now permissions are not working correctly. A user than cannot see 'Calendar A' is able to see an event exists when viewing on the daily view. If they click on the event, it errors out stating 'We could not locate the item you are trying to view.'

Since applying the 4.7.16 hotfix from today, on default theme with no modifications, we started getting template error in forums.front.index.forumRow template in one of the forums. On further debugging {{$count = \IPS\forums\Topic::contentCount( $forum, TRUE );}} returns post count followed by plus sign +, which throws when passed to {number="$count" format="short"} since it's not a number. This happens for just one subforum. I've updated site access details in Client Area if you would like to have a look 🙂 The forum ID which returns this strange count is 111.

Have never used advertising before, but when going through the settings, I saw an advertising setting in Site Promotion that seemed fairly simple. So I wanted to just test it and see if it's viable. I set up a single image to show. I set only admin to see it while I test. Added a simple image. But no matter what I do, I don't see any image anywhere, in any of the places I set it to appear. Have tried multiple times. Can't see anything wrong with what I am doing, so wanted to ask if there is something I need to know, or how to troubleshoot? Anyone using it that can give any advice? I haven't tried showing to any other groups, but surely showing to admin should work? …

Hello guys, I am having an issue which was not a problem up until around the new version of IPS 4.7.15 was installed. It is also worth noting our server is operating on PHP 8.1.27 On our homepage we have the "Top Picks Images" widget which is linked to an image album on the site. It now has an odd behaviour whereby it will show the image titles, but no image. I have noted that upon multiple refreshes, you can sometimes get the images to load, but that is not ideal. It is my impression there should be a conf_global.php or conf_global.dist.php in the unziped contents for Invision. It is missing on Windows and Linux Unzip. Hello, After updating my forum to 4.7.16, I've noticed that club topics are appearing in unexpected locations, such as categories with "Combined Fluid View" enabled. The setting "Show Club Content Areas" is set to "Only within Clubs" so that's not normal. Thanks.
