Wysiwyg Css Editing

Basically the idea I have in mind is that the admin can click some CSS edit button on his/her account, and there would be some sorta "Edit" button on the forum, he/she can click any part of the forum and a popup would appear allowing him/her to change the colors, fonts, images, etc... on the fly and save. Think Quick Edit for posting, but this would be like Quick CSS instead. It would make it so easy to create skins, or at least fix a color issue, or edit something on the forum itself, on the fly WYSIWYG, instead of treading through a massive CSS file not having much of a clue what is being affected and having to reload the forum 20,000 times.

Can't upgrade 2.17 to 2.2 rc3

I backed up my board and uploaded the 2.2 files as stated in the instructions. Pretty simple. I load the upgrade/ page and try to login with my normal admin account. The account is not locked. I get the error 'You do not have access to the administrative CP'. I use that account, the primary board admin account, to log into the CP all the time. Any idea on what might cause this? I couldn't find any other topics with this problem.

ACP Restrictions

I suggest something in the ACP where you can set restrictions on admins only allowing them full edit access to certain forums. Say you have: Forum 1 Forum 2 Forum 3 Forum 4 You would be able to give an admin full access to Forum 3 only. This would be useful for sites that run seperate topics/ideas all on the same board. It would be especially useful to people who run wrestling E-feds (like I do) who want more than one E-Fed on their board and don't want the admins to have the ability to mess around with the other ones.

Any chances that someone will make a css guide for 2.2 once it hits final? I mean there is so much damn css for IPB that it gets hard to know what does what sometimes.

I think that one feature that should be added into IPB is a complete feature switch. IE, If I do not want "My Assistant" as a global feature, you should be able to turn it off. If you do not wish to have "Forum Led By..." shown when you have moderators, you should be able to turn it off. And The "Invision Power Board 2.2.0 RC 3

How come the skin hasn't been changed in this edition, after all it is now "2.2" it's the next step so, yea, why not? And yea, users usually buy custom skins, but that doesn't mean much ...the current skin has been roughly the same since IPB 1.3 :( and there's also the likeability factor of 'choices'.

Hi IPB Staff! I've the following issue. I have 5 type of subscriptions on my board and 4 gateways in use. I want to allow certain gateways to be available for certain subscriptions. There is no such option, so it will be good to be possible in future versions!

Blog RC1 - Buttons Missing?

I seem to be missing some buttons (some are there) in my blog as you can see in my screenshots, I'm running IP.Blog 1.3.0 RC1. I tried running the "Rebuild Blog Master Template" & "Rebuild Blog Master Macros" hoping that would clear up the problem but they did nothing? What can I do to fix this?

Hi I just noticed that you cant login after your account has been locked after a particular no of attempts for particular amount of time. The error returned was: Sorry, your account has been locked due to an excessive number of failed login attempts within a defined period. Your account will automatically be unlocked in 14 minutes Is it not possible to login with correct id n pwdafter the account has been locked? Secondly If account locking feature is enabled on a particular forum, can any one lock any member by entering wrong pwd ?

Copy ACP Restriction Masks

Ok, the ACP restrictions is really cool. But to make it ultra useful, I would like for the ability to either copy a mask from one administrator to another, or inherit another administrator's mask at the point of creation (not concerned as to it STAYING inherited, just mainly that I can minimize initial setup time of new administrators)

Posts/Topics in Profile Portal

I personally think it would be nice to have a link at the top linking to all of the member's posts (in posts tab) or topics (in topics tab) then remove them from the options menu maybe. Possibly more likely people would notice them there and blog pretty much does this now, since a link is now at the top under that particular tab leading to the whole blog instead of just going to an actual entry by clicking the entry links). Also I guess it could be taken further by Brandon doing a gallery link under the gallery tab to go to the member's albums. It would be more consistent, I personally think.

this seems to happen somehow randomly. the fast replay box is supposed to have some buttons in the upper left corner, i know this because i have seen those buttons yesterday on my test board. after going to rc3 they are no longer there. on this board, i never saw them. i just trie, and tey are not there. with the mouse i can select some empty ... something ... on that corner of the reply box. text with only spaces probably. clicking on those things produces the intended effect of the buttons that were supposed to be there. on the "quick edit" the buttons are visible, on both sides.

Just looked at this feature and noticed it gives away the last character of your pass... WHY?!? i don't like having even one of my password letters on display and ALOT of people put numbers at the end of their password this could spell the difference between someone guessing and not guessing your pass. Just don't think its a good idea at all and also gives away the length of your pass. Fair enough you have to be in the acp or db to view it in the first place and be a root admin from my tests but i still don't like it.

hello, I think that the current profile looks abit messy and i really like what you put in 2.2 and i want it to be improved so i did my own design to bring up ideas. + what you should do is combain the image blog and the blog its self inside the profile. For example if the prsons whats to upload more images in side his profile he should use image gallery and image gallery should connects directly to the persons profile. IM TALKING ABOUT THE DESIGN LAYOUT COLOUR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT

Ok well say when making a forum, you make all the group permissions etc. You should also be able to have options such as: Only let people with their gender set to male enter this forumOnly let people with heir gender set to female enter this forumetc.Also there should be some kind of setting that is like: "If a user's gender is not set, should they be asked to set their gender, or be allowed in, or be disallowed." We also need some kind of setting like: "Once a member's gender has been set, are they allowed to change it?" That would stop people 'cheating' to get into gender specific areas. I am not posting this in the bug tracker as it might just be a localised issue here, or features removed from 2.1 Basically, my member bar is not telling me my messages box is full, and neither are the % full bars in the UCP, yet I am getting errors every time I send a message with the "add a copy to my sent items" checkbox ticket. Okay, basically here is how this would work: There would be an area in the Administrative Control Panel dedicated to this, it would be similar to when you login to the ACP (that first screen you are presented with). You are informed whether or not you are running the latest version of IP.Board. Though this new area would instead let you know if you had the latest version of the spammer/hacker list. There would be a special area within the Help & Support tab that will allow you to post email addresses, user names and IP addresses of people who have attempted to spam or hack your board (whether their attempts be successful or not). I would like the ability for my members to be abe to add topics within a forum to a special 'Quick Links' bar. This would allow me and other members to return to any topics saved to our profile in the links. All it would require is an 'add to profile' button on each post when a member is logged in. Would this be possible ?
