I just want to post a big thank you to IPS support staff for looking into my Gallery problem, specifically Keith, Jason, and Brandon. They were the ones who helped me the most. Brandon is going to patch up the Gallery to fix the issue that I was experiencing, and I really appreciate that. :) Thanks guys for all of your hard work! :D

Each country have their own set of holidays, and it would be very useful to be able to highlight these in the normal paper calendar mode, e.g. in 'red'. For instance, Christmas is a common holiday which I would like to make 'red' and part of a 'fixed' set in the Calendar... is that possible? If not, then I guess this will be a feature suggestion ;)

I suggest there be an option to view some 'stats' on people via their profile. One that's bound to be interesting is a break-down of 'Most Active In', like so: Activity: - General Discussion: 23% (44 posts) - Suggestions: 22% (43 posts) - etc.

Restrict PM's between Groups

I have many Groups on my community and need some way of selectively controlling which groups can contact each other. I have Public, Wholesalers, Manufacturer's, Trade, etc, and need the facillity to dissallow certain groups contacting members of the public group but need to allow the public group to contact them all. Is there any way I can currently do this.? And if not, can this facillity be considered for a future release or update.?

Hello! May I suggest the captcha image to be generated with randomly chosen fonts within the same image? Currently all the symbols are in the same font, so, if the robot has problems with one font, it just needs to regenerate the code to get it in another font. Thanks!

To me, after two years of experience with IPB, I have to say that it is the best there is. Simply because, IPB 2.2.2 stands out so tall that VB or even phpBB cant come anywhere near. The latest version IPB 2.2.2 being used in my both websites is simply mindblowing. The admincp has so much features that I discover something new every time i log in to the acp. Anyways the reason why I choose IPB over VB is simply because it has the best customer support, the best software interface and the most comprehensive Admin CP. You can do so much on IPB! Rock on bfarber and Matt and everyone else. I hope to remain your valued customer for more years to come.

Heres a thought... :) Although the majority of search engine bots / spiders show correctly on the main index view, they do not show in topic view, this would be nice too :cool: Example : Viewing the online list shows google.com viewing thread xyz , but viewing that thread shows just a guest. It would be great if it showed google.com on the list of members / guests on the bottom of the screen too please.

I have a big board with a lot of forums, my network host a lot of user forums and we need to clear forums, reorder and make some stuff with a lot of forums at same time... this everyday.. PLEASE so PLEASE make an intelligent use of checkbox.. not only for moderators... make something like select all forum and subforums, show an option like "KILL FORUM AND ALL SUBFORUM DELETING POSTS"... it will be appreciated... thx ah... another thing... when you have a lot of forum with subforums... why when i try to edit displaying order... why show all subforums in re-order list?? O_o

Hi, I reckon IPS Should make Any Modifications to any of their products only availiable to current users with valid licenses. vBulletin has implied this policy and has forced many users without licenses to come to use IP Board. They then can get modifications without any hassles. Doing this would restriction will make it harder for webmasters with nulled or illegal products.

Just upgraded to 2.2.2. Had a couple of complaints from members who would like to turn off the features of showing who has visited their profile recently, left comments or been added as a friend. Also, they don't like to be seen to have visited someone elses profile. Any way of disabeling these features? Is it an issue for others?

when you remove a member from a moderator i think they should automatically removed as forum mods. Its also a huge hassle editing each forum to remove a mod or add them.

Post editor it is very long loaded, users of FireFox and Opera can not view this, but at users Internet Explorer post editor sometimes at all don't loading. I think that it from for attachment system which are am lower than a post editor. Can I turn off attachment system?

I have been doing this manually, however, I think it would be a great addition to the default software. Often times people register from a location where they do not have access to their e mail, of course on sites that require validation, they cannot post until they click a link within the validation e mail sent. If they are like me, sometimes I forget to do that thus never returning to the site again. I think it would be a good idea to build into the tasks, a task that checks the validating usergroup and if there are any "members" in there, sends out an e mail reminding them to validate their account. What do you think?

Over the last couple of days when I've visited this site and clicked 'view new posts', there have been a large amount of locked topics. I have to admit to having various different thoughts on this, some amusing, some less than flattering, but also one or two constructive ideas that may improve the situation. I hope this thread doesn't descend into a debate about the rights and wrongs of what should and shouldn't be posted on this site, it's a tired and boring argument by now anyway. On some other forums, the moderators and admins move spam and other topics, sometimes to a dedicated sub forum which regular members can't see. But this can cause further confusion a…

I'm a convert from vbulletin and I noticed that the current new member notification isn't too good because it just doesn't have any details The current member notification But i propose that it should have a more useful message that at least tells you who the member is that registered with a link to their profile

I can't change a thing in my portal anymore, I got an error for an invalid birthday. So not caring I put in a 1928 BD. I still can;'t change anything in my profile. I delete the birth of date and I still can save my portal info. Yet it tells me all the info is optional! What the hecks going on
