Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted March 11, 200718 yr when you remove a member from a moderator i think they should automatically removed as forum mods. Its also a huge hassle editing each forum to remove a mod or add them.
March 11, 200718 yr If you have a moderator group, and the moderator group is added as moderator to the forum, then it's simply a matter of removing someone from the group. But I definitely agree there's a problem with the forum mods, those that are added individually. There should be a link like 'remove as forum mod everywhere', on the same menu as remove as mod for a single forum, or there could be a remove moderator bar at the bottom of the forum management screen where you could remove someone as forum mod for the forums you'd checked for.I think I've seen a post from bfarber in the past where he said they were aware of the problem though, but it can't hurt to repeat the message. :)
March 11, 200718 yr yup think he's aware of the more individual problem with mods, i think i posted in that thread somewhere too. If they solve it how you said my option wouldn't be such a requirement but when someone is moderated ipb knows they're a mod via the various functions. I think they if someone's group is changed to a group with non mod powers maybe a warning or a option to says "remove from OR changing this member from mod will remove them as a forum mods".
