May be useful to have the ability to have an auto-responder for the PM system where users can let others know they won't be responding due to vacations, etc etc. The whole PM system needs to be worked on in my opinion, but it's ok I guess.

I think White and Black lists are good features but they should be enhanced. I was tired of a few new members who registered on my forum and posted one topic (or post) with text: Hello, I found a new forum, click here! I activated Whitelist and put there about twenty trouble-free links (google.com, invision.com, yahoo.com, links to my sites etc.) But some of my friends are fed up with this way of sorting out this problem, because the white list restriction is applied on them as well and they are not allowed to post links to whichever location. When I click "Last Click" on the bottom of my boards, the whole first page shows guests being on October 27 and they never go away...Then the second page shows the current guests and members. Anyone else have this problem and/or know how to fix this.

There a three things I don't like about the current warn system: 1) No per-group setting for viewing other members' warn notes - you cannot let groups view warnings without giving them super-mod rights 2) No 'unlimited suspension' - there are cases where I want to ban a user, not just suspend him temporarily. I know I can just suspend him for 9999 days or something similar, but I would like to have a real 'ban' option. 3) Suspension data saved in serialized format - the fact that the suspension data is being saved as a serialized array in the MySQL table makes it unnecessarily hard for people to use that information. 1) Disable subscriptions for certain forums. 2) Have a feature to show which members subscribed to the topic in "Moderation Options" on lower left and ability to unsubscribe invidivual or all members from that screen. 3) Have a feature to show which subscribed to the forum under "Forum Options" on top right. 4) This is not really nicessary but it'd be nice to have a page to show ALL topic/forum subscriptions that members are subscribed to.

It would be great if you could remove all for(... in ...) loops from your javascript files and replace them by normal for(i=...;...;i++) loops. I know they work fine usually, but when you are using a library that extends the Object object (for example prototype), the loop returns several methods in addition to the array's items, which breaks several functions.

Often times, members hit their inbox limit without even knowing about it. It'd be a nice idea to have the board automatically send a notification email or PM (override their quota limit) to members whose inbox is at 90% full. :cool:

What is going on with support? I opened an upgrade ticket for the forums, gallery & blogs close to 28 hours ago, after some replies and agreeing to the terms and then supplying extra info that delayed the start, the upgrade was finally started about 24 hours after the initial ticket opening. Well I am using 2.3.1 and I have a bit of a problem, and it has been this way from the past few updates for my board. Problem being, the hide hack I have set up works fine, except when people with access to my gold area view my profile, they can see the content of my hidden posts! How can I fix this?

Over the past two or three months we have had some people attack our site with various methods, whether it be making obscene posts, making threats by email, or private message by different ip addresses. Already some of my management are thinking about turning on Admin validation. I already know they do a lot of work on the site, and I know by doing this they are going to double their work load. I don't know about any of your sites, but there are far fewer admins than there are moderators. On a busy site like ours I see turning on admin validation as out of the question. You know, when you visit google.com and your browser's language preference is de-DE, you're automatically redirected to the german Google site. My idea is: When mulitple Language Packs are installed, and one matches the browser-pref, then use this for visitors that are not yet registered (i.e. guests) or logged in.

It is actually quite helpful to optimize the CSS on a skin. But it sucks when you loose the human readable version. It would be neat if IPB used the human readable version as an "editable copy" and optimized the CSS in the cache.

I think that it would be useful to split up the settings pertaining to the number of allowed quotes. One setting should be for the number of allowed NESTED quotes. The other setting should be for the number of quotes overall. I would really like to limit the number of nested quotes to 2 or 3, but i find it very useful to have a larger limit for the number of overall quotes (so a user can reply directly to many users while making a single post. Right now, as far as i can tell, there is only a single setting for this, so i have to make a choice. Not having a go here , But on numerous occasions i have reported boards using the piracy system and it has came to nothing! I reported - http://www.htid1.com/forum & http://www.mm-beats.com/forum/ Both which i know are unlicensed as i worked with them untill i realised they were nulled and i quickly left. Im not having a go at anyone at ipb because i respect you guys for the great software made , but why hasn't my reports been noted!

I was told to make a topic about this in a ticket I have open. What I want to do is bring back a very helpful feature that was in 1.3. Its a feature that used to show you how many people where using each skin next to the name of each skin in the admin cp. Thats all I really want. I already looked at 2 mods that do it external from the admin cp but I want it in the admin cp. I mean I would pay good money to have this feature put back in.
