I think the post count should be formatted as a number (unless it can be already). Eg, 17413 should be 17,413 (if you're British), or 17.413 (if you do it weirdly :P) Also I think the tab order of a new topic should be changed, so you can tab from Title, to Description, to the actual post box.

Could you introduce a one stop shop where people can get a ticket to have cosmetic changes made to their sites? I know there are skinners around etc but the time it takes can sometimes run to weeks and is frustrating. Just put a list of charges up for each thing, change banner, change colour etc and an estimated waiting time. You could field the work out but monitor it and take a cut. Just knowing that there is a time frame, a set cost and you're in the hands of someone trustworthy would make so many moderators lives easier. Thanks for your time. Why is it that when I come here since 3.0 that when I click on a sub forum ie: IP.Board and the forum blinks comes back to the same place and I have to click on the same sub forum again to get into the forum? It only happens when I first come to the forum and then is ok until I come back again? I am using FireFox 3.0.10 Thanks

I'm not a beta-tester and simply patiently wait for the 3.0 Final. I thought the beta would reach a maximum for 3 betas but no.. it seems to keep going on and on without an ending. Now up to 5 or 6 Betas and it's starting to bugg me. Well, better it buggs me now than the forum later huh? >_< Of course there is nothing i can do about this and nagging about it isn't helping anyone, so, i simply ask; Is there an approximate deadline for the 3.0 Final... or at least targeted timeline? For those of you with technical expertize; do you see IPB 3.0 Final being released this year?

I've never quite understood why there wasn't an Icon Legend for the little icons next to topics, like there is for topic icons. In light of this i'm at a loss as to what this icon means next to a topic. Any ideas?

Hi, in IPB 3 you added the possibillity to approve/unapprove either all replies/topics or all replies/topics within the last X days/hours by a member when giving the member a warn. I'll show you what I mean in the picture: I think you should add the choice "Delete" aswell, so the members replies and/or topics is sent to the trash can.

Hello, One of our issues is to build high loaded forum. At this moment we use Invision, and when it comes 20K people online - it goes down. So right now we are on the way to solve this issue. And I'd like to be in touch with you to discuss possible ways to find the solution. We're interested in increasing our performance and we need to make decision regarding strategy to do it: optimize Invision, use another platform, develop our own platform or something else. Our main requirement is 50K online users. So I'd like to get your oppinion regarding Invision for this purpose. What do you think about that? Can you give us examples for sites with such a big online?

Hello, I find it a bit weird that when viewing the warn log you can't see for how long the user was suspended etc. This means that it needs to be written into the warn reason field, something you could easily forget. So I think that in addition to the information about whether you increased, decreased, did not change or custom changed warn level, there should be information about the "punishment" (suspension, all posts got unapproved/approved, ban etc).

I've been relying on the "Topic View" stats provided in the ACP for quite a while now. I run a busy forum and I need good stats. I enjoy using the IPS stats because it's easy to track the total topic views PER FORUM PER MONTH, which I can't really do in Google Analytics. But I was apparently wrong about the "Topic View" stats. That's NOT how they really work, and IPS has never made this clear. I suspected a problem with the stats about 6 months ago, so I opened a support ticket. One of my forums received 10 topic views that month, but I knew I had visited more than 10 times by myself alone! Tech support said I had some conflicting tasks that were preventing the …

Hi, I believe that you in the future should add more trash can options, since the trash can is quite special. While I do want moderators to see the trash can, I dont want them to be able to edit or delete posts when they are located in the trash can. But I still want them to be able to move back posts or topics for example. Therefore I atleast think it should be possible to choose what moderator alternatives that can be used by moderators and/or administrators in the trash can.

It would be a great usability improvement if there was a button on the home page of the forums labeled: "Start New Topic". Then you could be prompted for a forum to place the topic in. Has anybody thought of this before? Is there a mod to do this?

1. Personal photos when appearing in the status updates hook are much too large. (They have not been shrunk at all.) Is this a bug? It seems like they should be the same size as the photo that appears at the top of the page beside your name. 2. In future builds, can we have it so that only friends status updates will appear in the status updates hook? (Though seeing everyone would still be an option, if the admin wanted to.) 3. In future builds, will users (via their settings page) be able to enable and disable which hooks they want to see? (With the admins setting which ones cannot be enabled/disabled of course.) Thanks!

Please close this thread if I'm missing something in the search or tracker, but a few members have emailed me saying they are getting errors which they don't understand, I've asked for more info but while I wait for it to happen again I checked my logs, there was nothing in the server log files but checking in the ACP log files these are the only errors I get on a daily basis, what are they about? and what is error code "32767"

I just want to say that something is definitely right about IPB3.0. In the couple weeks that IPB3.0 RC1 has been out, I've already downloaded a dozen hooks/mods that have drastically improved my forum. My members are loving the little features here and there. Although I can't say I know much about the code, I will admit that it seems a lot easier for modders to create really awesome hooks (with relative ease?). New mods are released almost everyday, and it's obvious that there should be some really awesome applications in the near future! Hello, Hope I'm posting this in the right forum. I recently bought a license, and I'm eager to upgrade my old PHPBB2 to the latest version of IPB3. So far I downloaded RC1 and installed it in a separate folder on my server. Is there a way to convert the old users, posts, etc. from my old forum to the new IPB3? I looked all over the website and I couldn't find it. Any help is appreciated! :thumbsup:

Hi. My forum is in italian, were the topic world (used in forums.com/topic/THREADID-THREADNAME/ to rewrite the url) have no sense. I would change it to "thread" or "discussione", that is the correct traslate. Will we have any option to do it without do manual edit at the system? Have a way to do it with the plugin system (that should be integrated in ipb3 if i'm not wrong) would be great. Thank you very much!

What's the server performance like compared to IPB 2.3 series? I'm curious because there's a lot of AJAX and Javascript functions present in the new board, and was wondering if administrators are going to see a larger increase in cpu/memory usage when upgrading to 3.0? Thanks for the insight. :)
