    It sounds like you may be just typing a title in rather than selecting a result in the autocomplete. If there are any matching results, it'll suggest possible matches and you need to click on one to select.

    No it doesn't. Invision Community only deletes accounts that are validating on registration.

    They are mostly 550 errors therefore quite permanent.

    Now when I got fired up with @stoo2000 Mail Bouncer I was set up still on SparkPost which was easy to setup and worked instantly. The first pass I wiped out a ton load of email accounts. Now after the 4.3.x update we got forced to move to SendGrdi which was more of a PITA to handle and setup IMHO. Now once its set up I'm still sending newsletters out monthly to capture that rogue email addresses that are floating on the website. 

    No longer have to filter out user into groups to ditch the older accounts and prevent sending email to the dead account.

    Still, in all your 550 codes have to be fixed first. Then you can get to use the Mail Bouncer. Again I doubt Mail Bouncer will work with a standard email server because of the lack of API connection.

    The whole automated approach is the aim of the app, you shouldn't have to worry about it or have to interact with anything. I could add a button to user profiles to force an email change though.

Then have an old post being revived and now emailing these account with bounced emails or marked as spam because they are no longer part of the website. So instead of hunting down the emails I send out as newsletter once a month and let the Mail Bouncer filter out the email. Now I've got a clean email database and no longer have to worry about spam or bounce issues. 

    I don't think this plugin can work on its own because of the lack of information from the normal email server and no API connection.

    @Mopar1973Man has got the correct solution here, this app works best when it's constantly processing based on real-time feedback from the email gateways. Actions are taken depending on what that feedback is, whether it's a warning, requiring a new email address to be set or a message regarding flagging emails as spam (with education instructions to point the user in the right direction to unsubscribe). Additionally, not all failures you may see are critical enough to instantly stop sending emails out, there can be temporary issues that work themselves out.

    There are no known issues with using the current version with 4.3. As always, if you have any issues please open a support ticket and I'll look into them.

    Yep, it should do. It'll automatically detect if your SMTP settings are configured for SparkPost (I will test before 4.3 is released and push an update if I need to).

    Validating users will still have the flag assigned to them, but it'll be removed when they change their email address. SparkPost should still be supported (in this app), since you can still use their SMTP method to send emails. Personally, I would recommend SendGrid at this time.

    It looks like your invoice expired long ago, You will need to submit a ticket to IPS and ask them to regenerate your renewal invoice.

    There certainly is, you can set this up via AdminCP > Members > Moderators > *edit* (or add new) > 'Feedback' tab

    Not at this time, as noted above I will be implementing some new logic to automatically remove the message if the bounces stop before they're at a 'hard block' level.

    The links have been updated, sorry. Amazon SES should still be coming at some point in the future. It requires a more complex set up than the existing platforms (need to set up and configure SQS etc).

    Some people just don't get typing the topic out, while others just don't get copy/pasting the URL. The ability for the system to do both simultaneously would be a great idea.

    I hear you, I'll look at ways of making it more obvious. It's a requirement of how the application integrates with any content type (it can work with items that aren't topics for example).

    Check your profile templates for modifications, it's likely that they're out of date and need updating for 4.2

    It also gives me the ability to do cleanup.  If they bounce and get moved into that group, I can do a filter to see if they have any content items.  If their content count is zero and the account is over a year old,  then I would just delete the account entirely.  I send birthday and holiday emails not because I'm particularly jolly, but because I want to see if the email addresses are valid.   Having bounced users moved into a group helps me keep the user database tidy.  

    Validating users are permitted to use the contact form, which would be a way of contact.

    "Spam" markers are already treated differently. They're educated that they can select which emails they receive and have the option to opt-in to emails once more. Should a second spam report arise, they have emails blocked and no further option to opt-in.

    I would like to implement some extra options on to the member search, the data you're really wanting to sort/search on is already there (it's used in the bulk email filters already). Unfortunately at this time, it's not particularly easy to implement into that area. I have put a suggestion forwards to implement the MemberFilter system into the AdminCP member search/management tools. If it's included at any point I will move to support that.

    Could you explain how/why this would be useful? bear in mind that the working intention is that the user is presented with an email change screen if they're fully blocked and cannot access the community until they change their email address.

    I have a improvement on the roadmap for the near future to improve the handling of warnings, and to automatically remove them in a timely manner if no more bounces occur.

    Unblocking users can cause damage to your sending reputation at the email service, doing this in bulk is certainly not advisable.

    It could be done with a custom script, but I'm not sure how you would determine if it was positive, negative or neutral feedback.

    This update is now available in the Market Place, I was able to combine them into a single version.

    A customer requested a 'private' feedback ability, so that the creator of a topic for example could define whether feedback regarding that content item (topic) would be private or public. I've had a change of opinion and don't think that it'll be a widely used feature. Would you use something like this? (I mean, would you actually use it rather than like it to be included and then never use it).

    Yes, you should be able to pass type ( 0 = buyer, 1 = seller, 2 = trade/swap ) and content_id in the query string now.
