The Rules app will allow you to do what you're asking. Not everything needs to be baked in to the software, learn about the API and find unexpected ways to use available plugins.

I just ran into this same issue. Disabling Links Directory lets me generate an API key, and then everything still works fine after I re-enable it. I sent an API call to update a guest poster's name and it worked fine. Looks like I'm just missing whatever additional endpoints Links Directory provides (since I can't edit my API key and enable them without getting that error). Not a huge deal. Everything works great otherwise, just letting you know the error still exists 🙂 Thanks for the great app!

@SoftwareFactory another vote for Club-based notifications.

It seems categories only matter on the backend. Viewing them as a user, everything is clumped together.

Great app, lots of uses. Add another vote for displaying trophies and medals in categories. I'd like to set up a "trading card" category for medals, then use the Members Shop addon to distribute them and use the inventory option to create scarcity.

Have you looked at the options there? You can set prefixes.

Aha, I understand. It was redirecting me back to the home page whenever I bought anything... Let me check that I don't have something stupid going on.

Is that something I can change? I'd like it to keep them on the shop or at least take them to a page related to what they just did.

I know it doesn't do this, and I'm going to buy it anyways, but here's a feature suggestion if you're taking those. It would be cool if public bookmarks could become more of a curated list, where the user has more control over the ordering or can maybe a way to add commentary to each one. The use case I'm thinking of is say, a movies database, where the user could create a "My Favorites" or "Best of 60s Sci-Fi" list that others could browse. The Pages database powers the content, but Bookmarks provides discoverability that users can build for you. Hopefully that makes sense.

Wow, snippy. Thank for the reply, I guess. When I bought your other plugin, it specifically stated at the bottom that it didn't allow setting categories. This plugin didn't say that, and being able to set the category seemed like an implied piece of functionality for what this is. I came here looking for answers, saw someone who asked a similar question with no reply and thought I'd ask too. Sorry I triggered you. That said, is adding category selection to this something you can add? I am happy to pay for it.

Newest update seems to throw an error. This is on the default theme.

Weird that documentation like this is lacking in an otherwise stellar product.

Same "could not locate" error as others reported here. How can I get this working?
