    Thanks for the feedback πŸ™‚

We do use canonical tags heavily. However, the "do=getNewComment" style links cannot be canonicalised because they are just 301 redirects to another page.

Canonical linksΒ have aΒ place, but they still eat up crawl budget because Google has to index the page to see the tag and then decide what to do with it.

We certainly are notΒ telling Google "get off my site" - we are just strongly hinting toΒ Google what we see as valuable parts ofΒ the site, and what we do not. Things like profile pages, redirect links and so on just eat up the budget for almost no return.

Hey Randy - thanks for taking the time to post. Yes, this is in our radar actually, it's something we do often for our brand clients.
    Great suggestion.

    May I? 😊
Add live meta tag tool to each page (like block manager that can be started on each page from the left side). Right now, we have to go to AdminCP, start live meta tag tool, search for the page we would like to change page title or description. The same for edit. Just too many steps.Β  Add a possibility to exclude certain Pages databases from sitemap. There can be databases that store cites or quotes. This is not-unique content that should not be crawled. There can be databases, that only used to group records from other databases, they do not make sense standalone. Add an ability to implement structured data visually in Pages databases, see examples for FAQ, Books, Courses, Tutorials, Companies, Videos, Products, Recipes, PersonsΒ Β https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/structured-data/search-gallery Β

Absolutely. If you already have a robots.txt file then you will be asked to download the generated version and then you can merge them in manually.

Otherwise, you can copy the rules from this guide and apply them yourself.
    Well, 403 Forbidden isn't a great start... 😝

Yes πŸ™‚Β If there is an existing robots.txt file, this is detected and you are promoted to download the file so you can manually add the rules to your existing file.Β

    Hello Dears
It's great to have an almost certain timeline for future releases, as I've already discussed with Jordan.
For example, we now know that version 4.6.7 is scheduled to be released in the first half of October.
Or, for example, we implicitly know that version 4.7.0 is scheduled to be released on Jordan's birthday on 2022.4.7! πŸŽ‰
If there is a sidebar widget (or any other better idea) on the forums page that indicates the release date of newer versions, it would be great, and community leaders can plan for that.
For example, pay attention to this design (sidebar widget) :

    Thanks for reading, Sajjad. πŸ˜‰

As the functionality stands now you get a running list of Stock Replies that you have to scroll through to "hopefully find one that is appropriate for the area you are in currently.

It would be nice if IPS created categories that you populate in the ACP and then choose on the front end to find a set of Stock Replies pertinent to a particular use case.

    Β
Once you click on a category it would bring up a list of relevant Stock Replies you could choose from.
Access to each category would be set in the ACP and would only appear on the frontend if the user had the appropriate permission. Β Β
