  1. @Marc Stridgen How do I upload "download files" how do I see this file to download? in our client portal I only see this: I don't see anything in the client portal to download only the "download files" feature Thanks -Allan of Nigel's Team
  2. @Marc StridgenSo what I understand is I download this "download invision community" in our client portal, then upload it to the staging ( overwriting everything ) then click upgrade? I thought that is automated? I read the doc and you have "automatic upgrade" or "manual upgrade", I choose "automatic", how does it work in our case? where we have live site with existing DB that need to upgrade to 4.6.8? We just want to make sure that our existing data and our theme ( customize ) will work under version 4.6.8 Thanks -Allan of Nigel's Team
  3. @Marc StridgenThis is just an example of what I saw after upgrade, this is just an example: So after upgrade, I saw the "download" not being installed ( as we purchased it ) and saw the plus sign meaning to install, and that is what I did, install it in there, after install and done, an error popup and I can't go to AdminCP now. I'm stuck in here: can't go inside AdminCP. This setup is a copy/clone of the live site to the test/staging site we setup, so we copy files and folders of version Invision Community v4.5.4.2 into that staging/test site and also the DB, its a clone really of the live, because we want to upgrade it to 4.6.8 Thanks -Allan of Nigel's Team
  4. Hi @Marc Stridgenwhat you mean "uploading the download files" ? I mean, after I upgrade I saw the "Download" in the System and there is a "install" there, isn't it the right thing to do? Are you saying I need to manually install "Download" by uploading it? I don't understand, I upgrade to 4.6.8 everything fine, until I install the "Download" feature. So we purchase "download" Upgrade to 4.6.8 Found that "download" feature can be install inside the APP, clicked the install And that the problem starts, is there other correct way to do it? Hi @Marc Stridgen, I don't understand, as I upgrade it inside the AdminCP, the staging site was working before I upgrade to latest version which is 4.6.8, so you mean when we copy the files from production to staging there are files missing? Are you talking about missing files when we upgrade to 4.6.8 from AdminCP or when we copy it from live? Thanks -Allan of Nigel's Team
  6. Hello, I was able to upgrade IPB version Invision Community v4.5.4.2 to latest ( 4.6.8 ) in one of our staging site. After upgrade, I was able to access AdminCP and public / community end. However, when I install "Download" which we purchased, after installing and enabling, I got this error instead. I got this error in the frontend/community page The errors from AdminCP and community/forum public end, is after I install "Download" and enabling it. Please advice on what to do, I don't know where is that "Support tool" in the AdminCP. Thank you. - Allan of Nigel's Team

Hello Mark and Marc, its working now, it was one of the plugin that is doing the redirection, thank you for the help 🙂 But I still don't see the "clear cache" though, the IPB version is 4.5.4.2 though yesterday I was battling with the style/icons and css inside the admin CP, now it seems its all working fine, I suspect its due to the cache that was auto clear? Is there a way to manually clear it? Thanks -Allan of Nigel's Team

  17. Hi, I'm trying to copy my live/production site into different URL as staging/test site, and part of test license. Copy all files and database. I was able to make the admin CP work, but when I go to the frontend/public it redirects me to the live/production site. I change the config_global.php settings to correct variables/settings. The URL of test/staging is different to live/production. Using Invision Community v4.5.4.2 -- Thanks -Allan of Nigel's Team

Hello there, I have a question, If I install this on my IPB ( version 4.5 ) will it replace my current menu right away? like will it change the design and everything in the frontend ( forum ) ? or is there a way to use this specific menu like I can toggle on or off it. I'm just worried that if I install it and my menu in the frontend will break, can you please advice of how I can install it and don't want the current menu to be broken? As there are custom html and CSS I made on the default menu. I have already bought this menu just hesitant to install. Thank you. -Allan of Nigel's Team

  21. Thanks @SUBRTX - that's at least a step in the right direction, which is great news. However, as I've just posted over in the comments on that link, I don't think it's been thought through very well. Here's what I posted over there. ======================== I just had a closer read of it and and whilst it is a step in the right direction, I still don't think it's amazing. Most people that use these notifications will still want to be notified when one of their posts is quoted by someone else. But no-one wants to be notified when their post get a like/reaction. So, keeping "quoted" and "reactions" bundled into a single option is a mistake in my opinion. I feel like "quotes" should either be bundled with "replies / mentions" or setup as it's own option. To be honest - for the best granularity - IMHO all 4 options should be separate. I.e. - REPLIES [ON / OFF] - MENTIONS [ON / OFF] - QUOTES [ON / OFF] - REACTIPONS [ON / OFF]

  23. We so wished we didn't upgrade 😣 It's not only the complaints that are painful, it's also that this has affected usability of our clients experience. And, IPB Support has said that they have talked about it internally and might make some changes one day. No matter how polite I was asking for some clarification on potential time-frames so we could let our members know - they wouldn't give us any. I so hope they will fix this soon.
