  1. Jim M's post in Moving to another server was marked as the answer
Sorry about that, the guide is slightly out of date. You’ll want to go to the Support dashboard in the ACP and then click Clear System Caches on the right-hand side.
  2. Jim M's post in Timestamps - time format was marked as the answer
ACP -> System -> General Configuration -> disable "Use relative dates"
Please let us know if there is anything else 🙂
  3. Jim M's post in Legacy Downloads was marked as the answer
Sorry, we do not offer downloads for version 3 as it has no longer been supported for some time now. Additionally, we only provide downloads for the latest release and that is it. We do not offer downloads for any other release. The latest release is the most stable and secure so we do not offer or recommend running any other version.
  4. Jim M's post in Contact and info - upgrade? was marked as the answer
    Hi there!
We have responded to each of your requests, however, it does not appear that you have received our replies.  Please check the email address in your Client Area and ensure it is correct. If it is, please check your spam folder for our replies or contact your email provider to see why our replies from our support@invisionpower.com account are making it to your mailbox. Alternatively, you can change your email address to something else.
Getting to your issue, however, to check your server's compatibility with the latest release of our software, please see the following file. You can upload this to your server and then browse to it in your browser. Please have your hosting provider correct any issues in red. https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/7046-invision-community-requirements-checker/
  5. Jim M's post in My site iframe url was marked as the answer
As mentioned in the message, this would allow other individuals to also embed your community in an iframe so could be used in social engineering strategies and open you up to other potential security issues. It is recommended to direct individuals to your community directly instead of embedding it in an iframe. Not only is this a better user experience but you eliminate any potential security issues.
  6. Jim M's post in Reaction button to database comments was marked as the answer
Reactions are a global-level item for member groups on all content types. I would recommend switching to an unmodified template if you're seeing issues.
  7. Jim M's post in Download Application was marked as the answer
I would suggest starting with our Guides, here is the brief overview of Downloads guide, which covers permissions:
Additionally, this guide covers Paid Files:
Further details about Categories, can be found here:

  8. Jim M's post in Move Subscriptions to Products ( Subscription ) was marked as the answer
users would see the purchase price still, they would just have a download button available to them.
  9. Jim M's post in Some entries of a page database are not accessible since 4.6 was marked as the answer
Just wanted to update this and state that this was patched yesterday. Please let us know if there are any further issues.
  10. Jim M's post in Blog entry/category issue was marked as the answer
There are 2 tiers categories in the Blog application. The categories you added in admin are the categories which Blogs fall under. Then there are categories within Blogs which your Blog Entries fall under.
  11. Jim M's post in Website broke after installing coinbase commerce plugin was marked as the answer
Unfortunately, the error there is that your MySQL server is not accepting a connection from the software. As mentioned, using Recovery Mode to login to your ACP and disable the application would determine if this is related to the application or not. However, the log you just provided further details a database connection issue so that may not be possible. If that is the case, you will need to contact your hosting provider for assistance with the connection to your database.
  12. Jim M's post in Upgrade to 4.6.8 - ".github" Folder was marked as the answer
Yes, it is safe. We don't normally update changelog if we're patching but something was patched that had a changelog entry so created a new entry there. Our developers our working to resolve it.
  13. Jim M's post in Error EX0 was marked as the answer
The value must be more than 6 days there. It should be returning a validation message rather than that error, however. If you insert a number larger than 6, do you still get this error?
  14. Jim M's post in Does it matter how frequently the cronjob/task runs? was marked as the answer
The maximum time for the cron job to run would be 1 minute. If the time exceeds this than some unintended consequences may happen. There are checks and balances for running less than 1 minute but it still may cause some processing overhead on your end. Ideally, 1 minute is the recommended time to run it. If you encounter issues with a configuration that does it more frequent, our remedy most likely would be to change that so it is at 1 minute.
  15. Jim M's post in Litespeed Cache was marked as the answer
Sorry, we do not have a plugin for Litespeed Cache and Litespeed as a whole is limited in support. Reading their docs, this is not required to set it up but please be aware support of this would be completely on yourself and your hosting provider should you choose to use it.
  16. Jim M's post in robots.txt missing from public_html? was marked as the answer
It is a dynamically generated URL. It is not a physical file.
  17. Jim M's post in Deactivate Audio Player was marked as the answer
Unfortunately, there is no method at this time to keep it a standard download. Most browsers do allow you to right click and save the audio, however. You can certainly suggest this in our Feature Suggestion forum to leave an option to download.
  18. Jim M's post in 2X204/1 We could not locate the item you are trying to view. was marked as the answer
Thank you for updating your access details. Unfortunately, this issue is due to one of the many third party plugins you have installed. Once I disabled all of them, I was able to access tickets in the ACP. Please disable all plugins then enable them one-by-one to find the culprit. Once you do, please contact the author for assistance.
  19. Jim M's post in Login Methods was marked as the answer
Thank you for updating access. The disabled "Standard" login handler was mislabeled as it was actually the MySQL Database external login handler. I have deleted this for you to remove confusion. If you do need the MySQL Database external login handler in the future, you can read add it in the ACP by clicking the create new button.
  20. Jim M's post in I also had many images in a custom folder. was marked as the answer
If I am understanding you correctly, these weren't uploaded via vBulletin or our software and were just added as an image URL to the content?
If so, only items uploaded through the software (or converted software) would show up as an attachment. Items simply added from an external source from the software, would not be seen as an attachment.
  21. Jim M's post in Downloads - add tags without file showing as updated was marked as the answer
Are you modifying the download file to edit it? If so, this would be expected.
When testing this and adding the tag by the "Add Tag" button just under the Download File title, I am not seeing it get marked as updated.
  22. Jim M's post in 7-day ban gone wrong was marked as the answer
For a temporary ban, I would not recommend banning the user's IP addresses. I understand looking at the UI where some confusion can happen but this is a separate segment and any IP ban is permanent and would not unban after the duration set for the member ban. If you're using CloudFlare or another reverse proxy and have not enabled "Trust IP addresses provided by proxies?" in ACP -> System -> Advanced Configuration, would be using the IP address of CloudFlare's proxy server instead of the actual user's IP address thus creating issues.
I would recommend removing all IP addresses from your ban list if this is causing issues.
  23. Jim M's post in Welcome to Invision Community 4 was marked as the answer
Sorry for the inconvenience. There was an issue on our end which was causing this issue sporadically to some clients. This issue should be resolved now. If you're still seeing this message, please try clearing your browser's cache. If you're still seeing this message, please let us know. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.
  24. Jim M's post in Hidden posts for new members was marked as the answer
Do have an example of a post which is getting hidden? Does it contain any links or any which is set up to be moderated by your settings in ACP -> System -> Posting -> Word Filters?
  25. Jim M's post in Error set languace was marked as the answer
If you are not seeing your locale present, please contact your hosting provider to install it on your server. I'm afraid, locale's are from your server, not the software.
