@Justin Stellman, this is pretty basic stuff. If you're going to run a forum you don't have to be a developer, but you should know the differences between a Private Message (which can also trigger an email notification) and an email. Where the reply goes to depends on what you specify as the sending email address. Some sites set up email addresses that won't bounce, but which don't have an inbox or anything. It depends on what you configure.

Yeah. I'm not the developer of course, I'm just trying to tell you it's possible. Yes, it's an email. Your forum can send regular old emails, and so can AutoWelcome. Or it can send a PM. Or it can do both.

Yes. Find the 'H' and change it to an 'M'. You'll also possibly have to change a setting in the cron table so the task runs more frequently. Not sure what you're asking here. An email is an email, a PM is a PM…

Do you know when you might push that update out, so I can look to update my installation?

Thanks, yeah, I went through them one by one. There were about 20 from a deleted account, like I'd mentioned, and a surprising number (of OLD posts) that were marked as -3 in queued. I changed a lot of them to 1 so they'd show up in the approval queue and I could approve or delete them. Who knows… maybe we missed them at the time. Got the list down to about 40, not counting the 30-50 spammy posts by bots that will be removed if they don't register (they won't) within the next week or two. So, really, most of the old stuff was just old guest posts that may or may not have had the right flags in the database. But, every action except changing some of those columns was done in the UI on the site, either in the ModCP or the ACP, so whatever needed to be done to affect other tables I'm sure was done. Thank you for taking the time, @bfarber.

I allow people to post before registering, but my database has 209 rows of posts with author_id=0. Most of the newer ones are spam, some of the older ones are clearly posts that guests made but then didn't register, and a few in the middle are posts made by someone who requested his account be deleted. Is there a safe way to expunge the crap from the forums_posts database, but keep the posts attributed to the deleted member (and maybe any made in the last 15 days in case the person wants to return to register)? Can the "old" or "bad" posts simply be deleted in the database, or will that muck up a table somewhere else? Some of these posts date back to 2014. Those guys aren't registering for the forum any time soon to publish those old posts.

Has this been resolved? I just submitted a support ticket with a getOnlineUsers issue.

It locked up a bunch more, so I disabled that part of Spacious ACP. I don't really care. By "a bunch" I mean about eight times over the next 20 hours.

If it becomes an issue, sure. Not too worried about it.

Well, I figured there was a chance that would happen. So, I went to "Advanced Configuration" in the ACP and at the bottom of the first tab, "Server Environment," there is a "Template Disk Cache Path" setting. Derp. Anyway, all set now. Thanks, and maybe this can help someone in the future.

I'm sure I'm overlooking something dumb, but I have two IPS servers and on one, all the cached templates are in /datastore. On the other, some are in datastore, but some are in /uploads. I installed it earlier today. The home icon thing in the Breadcrumb doesn't seem to work, but the page numbering fix is great.

Any reason why these would be different sizes? They’re all of the type: <i class=“fa fa-pencil”></i> But you can clearly see the different sizes. 1 and 3 are bigger, 2 and 4 are smaller. Using the latest version on 4.5. Also, small typo:

If you don't know what you're doing, why are you doing it? This is not just Google Docs or something. Do you have a custom theme installed? Can you revert to 4.3 or 4.4 or whatever version you previously had? Do you have someone locally that you can talk to? You should consider moving your site to be hosted by IPS themselves. They'll manage all of this stuff for you.

Thanks. Just upgraded to 4.5 so I haven't had the chance to fine tune everything yet. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. And maybe I'll look into CSS-ing up the link to make it a bit smaller or move it somewhere. Or replacing it with an image or something.

Okay. I remember there being a reason, I just wish maybe it was somewhere else. It's in a fairly prominent place and is something that's important when I need to use it, but I just don't need to use it very often. I liked having it tucked out of the way - available when I needed it, but not so prominent all the time. Where do you set the permissions, so that my moderators can use it? All clicking the permissions does on the application list is say "Application Online." Is it in Groups somewhere, or on the individual Forums?

I got an error when, in Notifications in the ACP, I clicked Awards and changed "Email" to "enabled by default" from "Not enabled by default". But the setting seems to have "stuck," so… it worked, but gave an error? I'm using the latest public releases of both IPS and iAwards.

It used to be in the Moderation Actions menu. Now it's an entirely separate item. I still have my 4.4 installation which I can get to via /etc/hosts editing, and I just confirmed it's still in the menu there. I know this product isn't heavily used, but we rely on it and I'm glad I had commissioned it (I think).

I sent you a PM, but basically… posts are numbered (I have them starting at 1 for each topic)… but every page starts over at 1. 18 posts per page, no AJAX, and on page 11, the first post still says #1 and the last on the page says #18.

Could you take a quick look at this for 4.5? I think everything still works, but it's not putting itself in the menu, and that's causing some whitespace and other issues at the top since "Embed Image" is no longer in the menu, but rather is its own thing floating around. (Image won't resize and stick resized…).

I'm waiting on this bug to be fixed, and iAwards to be updated, and then I think I can finally upgrade to 4.5, now 4.5.4.
