On the current version, you can actually use either, as they are compatible with one another. However its likely we will focus on the opensearch route going forward. 

So you're using not so updated app and not so updated IPS4.... You have it uncompatible.
I can provide you manual change if you have access to the files on FTP.

I think a deal has to be made between the two developers honestly. Im not sure if management gets involved. I know if Adriano got it, this would have tons of options to tie into all his other stuff, it would be simplified and easier to work with and kept up. he tends to go thru everything with a fine-tooth comb and makes everything better. He had a plugin that had an issue once. I simply mentioned it to him, and he fixed it, improved it, and optimized it probably within just a few minutes, lol.
Actually, @Adriano Faria has made an add-on for me for this, so users could upload screenshots of their experience to a certain tab, to show others. My community loves this and uses it alot. so, he is a little familiar with the structure already.

Yes! Its pretty important for my community as we sort by file popularity, and some of our larger downloads contain dozens of files. So they get "down-ranked" only because people prefer the zip download option and they do not get a download count increment.

Are you able to give me a rough estimate on the ETA of the changes?

We can create some really useful blocks to place on our websites using the Pages module. 
Why can't we put those same blocks into our system emails? Like newsletters, for instance.

I have a few items i would really like to see included in future updates, which I think have all been discussed before:
Include "Hit Tracking" - track how many times a replace link has been clicked, i only need total count really, as I can track where it came from using Google Analytics. Include the ability to parse multiple inputs. IE one custom link entry for multiple words. I frequently create 3-4 custom links for a phrase, like "Phrase A", "PhraseA", "PhrasesA" but they all point to the same Custom URL. Exclude a certain page/url from having custom links replaced. If I can pool together with others to help pay for this development and upgrades I would be willing to do that!

 

@SJ77 - I know this works on my latest install of 4.6.10 - is it still not working for you?

@Makoto - I have found that doing a "bulk" download does not increment my download count. How difficult would it be to add this feature?

I have a little issue with how secondary groups are done.
When a member is part of a secondary group their name does now show up in said group.

Some say they like this because you can have a user as secret moderator of sorts, that's fine, but I would like my users to know who is moderating them if there is an issue.

In order to accommodate users that what anonymity and for and others that would like to display, maybe we could have a check box for groups instead of a list.

So we would see something like...
Primary Group
(would be your normal drop down list)
Users

Secondary Groups
(List all current groups, each group would have a some check boxes. Is a member, Hide member could add other options if needed)
Moderators
Administrators
Community Leaders 1
Community Leaders 2
Super Secret User Group

Another thing would be nice is if you click on a users group in posts / profile and show other memebers in that group.
