  1. I was playing with the RestAPI, it seems to me that the put of data seems fine as you are adding a single item like a topic or post. However the GETs are kind of limited and each GET doesn't include parameters for other ID's other than their own. Case in point I wanted to GET all the recent topics from all the forums either all within a particular category or by providing some array. - no joy there. Will the RESTAPI be getting more endpoints or will we convert to some kind of web hooks with publish and subscribe abilities?
  2. I am not sure what to tell them they are using Safari doesn't look like they have any extensions loaded. I only have google analytics running. When I inspected my page I seen the same warnings about deprecated jQuery same as here. I did see this error, not sure where that is coming from.
  3. un-opinionated html/css and using something like https://tailwindcss.com ability in activity to see all un-replied topics world peace
  4. It would be nice when you have a custom theme by third party the "revert" button only reverts to the designer's default NOT the IPS default. When editing a theme settings it would be nice to have a side-by-side comparison values in another themes setting. A button to copy the setting or style form another theme while editing a current theme.
  5. I think too there are no categories, or Grid View, and the menus navigation under the club are not the same as forums. its like renting out a room (yet no way to monetize it) yea your renter and you use the same front door. I'd like to see more of a cottage or attached granny flat. where the 'club' behaves like a sister site with its own entrance. Members could come and go not have to join I guess unless paid, or private. Heck if the 'club' became successful some magic button that moved the club to it's own IPS suite instance and the two site could share logins.
  6. I have not either. I think a few reasons is that if I migrate an existing set of forums over its a one way thing. If it doesn't go as planned moving forums back is a pain. Also too i think the URLs change which would suck for the forums I am considering since these vendors would have to update everywhere they published links to target forums. If a conversion were to happen all posts & topics should auto add every member to club without user action they shouldn't have to rejoin the club because I migrated the forum and content.
  7. Just like Have I Been Pwned integration with 1Password Blog Post to keep an eye on your security threat level. It would be nice if there was some kind of way our installations could over time work back thru our member roster and once a hash as been made interrogate a list (IPS or other third party repositories) of known spammers that include metrics such as email / IP address to thwart unwanted registrations. Many of our sites span decades and have migrated/converted from other solutions and have no doubt many dormant and un-detected known spammers. If one is discovered and if there is a threshold of metrics (# of posts, length of registration, last log in, etc) then quarantine these and slate them for banning)
  8. It would be most helpful if the word expansion feature was something that a select group could be given (mods) where they highlight a word in a post and Define the definition or the link to another resource. From that point forward such words will have expansion. You only think of this as you reading and if a popular term comes up over and over and people ask for a meaning it's tedious to do this ACP task. I consider doing something with a term dictionary via the editor but that is still an active action a user must take where as expansion is passive, plus that too is a separate data island to circumnavigate. While you're at it it would be nice to have an Endpoint for the API.
  9. I am doing some automated posts to a forum via the API and the body is going to be an iframe is there a way to have the height of the iframe adjust automatically to the source?
  10. spammerx.mov sorry for the low quality of this but I had installed Fullstory and matched up a segment with a known spammer and was able to watch the signup process it is very much an operation some cut and paste. the video started on another similar account that that IP just created.
  11. yea there needs to be some development on the core profile page in order to thwart some of this activity. I was going to add a custom field but let them go to town on it and never display it. I gave up as there is no easy way to migrate actual bio's or even convert editor to plain text and have that be dependent on group membership.
  12. Thanks, I am already there all new users funnel into Curious group then on an approved post go to newbie then after 5 posts go to members. Most of the spammers seldom post only create what I fear are sleeper accounts for future use the only real way of knowing they are spammers is they actually fill in the blanks. I've blocked India both on the server and with cloud flair but they are still managing to create these accounts.
  13. every few days I get a new obvious spammer. they must have a sweatshop in India or have mastered automating creating accounts.
  14. Suggestion - With the plethora of stats that the system has it would be interesting to see for self-hosted clients a widget in the ACP that would estimate what cloud plan would be best for them, if they decided to go to cloud.
  15. https://www.sovrn.com/blog/sovrn-acquires-viglink/ It's old news for sure, not sure how this affects any one using it. however in the integration section of ACP it shows the old Name and Logo probably should be updated to avoid confusion? when enabling it the link redirects to https://meridian.sovrn.com/account/signin?d=com&path=publisher%2Fdashboard
  16. Current Charges for my setup CPanel Linux Web Hosting - 8GB High Frequency, 256GB NVMe, Snapshots, Seattle, 5 CPanel Accounts $125 Cpanel Linux Web Hosting - 8GB Cloud Compute, 160GB SSD, Snapshots, San Jose, 23 CPanel Accounts $96 and about 20 a month for SparkPost
  17. So I have have members who advertise I wish to extend ability for them to purchase ad space on system emails. However setting up a new product there is no option to show the add within emails?
  18. Thank you team! We were able to trace the issue down to a setting in the FB app I had my servers IP address in this field way down deep in the advance settings on FB app page. This was setup a long time ago before I had to move too Cloudflare to mitigate an active attack from Russia earlier this year.
  19. I can't figure this out I have done every white list I can think of and it its still blocked.
  20. Hmm perhaps Is it because I am using CloudFlare let me go add them to allow list !? (this may be a good thing to document)
  21. looking in my ACP I see the call back url is: https://mydomain.com/applications/core/interface/facebook/auth.php But looking at the documentation it says: https://mydomain.com/oauth/callback/ When was this change introduced? My FB login has been offline for quite a while.
