  1. A moderator reported that in his tab bar on multiple computers / browsers it will spin for 30-90 seconds sometimes 10 minutes. I turned off Matomo and it seemed to stop.
  2. Grid View better layout more like Our Picks (no truncating forums names) Activity Stream show content with out replies (ability to ignore some forums, pinned topics) Ability to grant permission to a person (or group) to manage set of their forums. (like clubs but in the main forums) Notification queuing so that if an action is required and admin / mod takes action it suspend sending notifications to others since it's been taken care of. Ability to sell advertisement placement in email more exposure to advertisers. Granular pessimistic security around web hooks. Standard JSON object for web hooks payload. Better control to thwart / prevent spammer registrations. ACP ability to have dynamic columns to choose from to see in list form (members)
  3. I am not actively doing any thing. On the blog I add the RSS feed. Oddly it didn’t do so on a newly created blog even with the same feed with or without the radical tags app enabled. so it’s something with older blogs
  4. well new blog post came in today with an empty tag array, again. 😂
  5. Thanks for the insight been wondering about that for awhile.
  6. Sometimes an upgrade stops here. Other times I am taken to a page that take me to the suite or to the ACP. What is the reasoning and logic to either approach?
  7. also noticed this on the task but there isn't enough detail in this log to even know where to begin to debug.
  8. can I inquire if someone actually reviewed the code for the RSS Task vs adding the rss when setting up the blog? It does not do the same thing.
  9. is there something different that the TASK rssimport is doing then when setting up a blog and adding the rss/atom feed? I noticed that when there is an empty tag the author id in the db is 0 it and [] only appears on the RSS feeds that have been added by the task.
  10. I do not have a blog feed that I can turn things off and wait around till someone gets around to posting a blog article. So it is impossible to test waiting for a posting. NOT ALL blog articles have empty array. OLDER ones do, I have tested with and without 3rd party app running on adding the RSS FEED no empty tags.
  11. But it works just fine with it installed on a new test blog importing the RSS even if the APP is off it works just fine on NEWLY created blogs with RSS. It's something with OLDER blogs set up years ago with RSS imports.
  12. My Test: https://fmforums.com/blogs/blog/124-test/ (this was done with the Application Radical Tags installed and active NO TAGS ) Original RSS: https://fmforums.com/blogs/entry/2982-sql-multi-table-query-optimization/ Only the latest along in the original RSS has the empty tags I had manually cleared older posts. There is something lingering in OLD blogs that seem to insert the array [] I plan to delete the test blog in a few hours just FYI.
  13. Is there any chance this app is causing an empty array [] to end up in blog, tags when they are inserted by RSS?
  14. I have created a test blog, and disabled the app, and imported the same RSS feed. No [] tags were present. I deleted the blog created a new blog with the app running and imported the same RSS feed. Same result NO tags were present. Must be something with this one old blog that it defaults to [] tag.
  15. I have the same RSS importing in to a blog and also a forum the tag doesn't show in the forum but does in the blog, so it's definitely related to blog rss import.
  16. feed:https://www.filemakermagazine.com/rss.xml
  17. I don't know its not like I can turn it off and wait a few weeks for the particularly RSS feed to post to the blog.
  18. When I was a newbie here was a lot of unknowns I still wish for this:
  19. Is it just me or any one else that uses Grammarly not able to use it with the CKEditor here or on your own sites?
  20. In my development with clients (database development - totally different then here ) we have a concept of a Development server and Production server, and we also have a Staging server. With feature requests and bug fixes I work on the Dev server it may have a sample set of data contains all the new schema and logic. Then I can migrate a clone of the Dev version merge it with data from live in to the staging and then have client test, once approved I can move Logic and Schema from the Development to the Production server preserving production data. So for the past many release cycles things have been pretty solid yet the latest beta and release had some hiccups based on the postings at the time. I post this in suggestions as I wonder what is "DATA" in our database. There is Structure that we as admins have defined and modified as how our site looks and behaves, we have Content which is uploaded content and data from users. And we have Schema that is part of the core operations. Would sites be more performant if there were separate databases, for various bits of the site? (it's a different database realm so I am not certain here) Would backups be more efficient? Test / Production I would love to see at least Test / Production process on IPS if you announce a new beta or version we could snapshot our current live site over to Test run the updater on Test and if things go belly up it doesn't affect Production. Once we iron out all the kinks or wait for more stability or consume copious amounts coffee, we're confident things are working, we migrate Production site. The other thing here is we may wish to push out many changes at once vs as you get to them by navigating the ACP. Examples: Create new category or forums move things around add new plugins / applications configure new products configure new payment processors probably more but but you get the idea If there were a way to batch all these changes in to a post update process once complete the live site re-opens. I only have a small glimpse of how this all works I imagine its like swan on a lake its all pretty above the water line but so pretty below. 🦢 😄 Food for thought and welcome discussions.
  21. I think the process is a bit putting cart before the horse. I would love to see the process workflow better: user purchases Advertisement spot and terms and conditions. makes payment takes them to a page for them to provide content (artwork / url) doesn't require them to have assets prior to purchase. admin approves advert go live date renewal starts Also when user wishes to modify url or assets they should be able to manage this during active campaign. When they submit replacement the system should pause while pending admin approval.
