Just received a notification email from my forum to say a photo I'd posted had been reacted to.
The photo was copied into the email and wasn't responsive - instead it stretched way beyond my screen
Is that supposed to be like that? Is there a way to make all emails from the forum responsive? -
I need this urgently also

My understanding is that you cannot generate a client ID without a paid developer account and an iOS app in the App Store, and it would have to be unique to each site (i.e. our upcoming app which is used for every community won't be able to be used).
Ah I thought that when the app was developed we could have one individually for our own forum?

Ps I am posting these replies from the new IOS app beta - which works great!

Just thought it was really strange they weren’t logged as on any page, post or topic
Not seen that before in all my years of running these forums ha ha

If you delete a section on your forums where those posts were and unarchive them what happens to those topics/posts?
I ask because I think that's what I've done -
can you 'unarchive' posts/topics later on after archiving them?

Let me start by saying I have pretty much no idea what I'm doing ha ha
I have a forum (well two forums actually and both have this issue) where I've just checked the database tables in PHPMyadmin to see if they were InnoDB or MyISAM.
On both of the forums I've found that the database tables are half and half amazingly. I have a sneaky suspicion it's something I've made a mess of a while back.
The site's function with occasional glitches but to a total newbie like me on this subject I'd not know if this was having any impact.
Anyway should I leave well alone or should I change all the tables to InnoDB?And will I see any difference in the way the sites are running when I've made the change?

Hey all,
I have a forum which is football based. I use Adsense for income.
On the site there's the football stuff which google crawls, indexes and is searchable on Google etc
Adsense also places adverts on there with no issue
I also have another section where the members talk about music, jobs, general news and non football stuff.
Google doesn't crawl this, doesn't index it, and it's not searchable or visible to anyone visiting the site who isn't logged in.
I want to place Adsense ads on there so I created a login for Adsense, and put the hidden forum section URL into Adsense for it to crawl and then advertise on.
I don't want Google to index this or make it searchable on google as it's non-football related and would hurt the site image etc and it's not relevant for people who want football stuff.
Adsense came back to me saying they have been blocked by the robots.txt and therefore at the moment can't place ads on this part of the siteSo what can I do?

Hey @Morrigan would you know specifically where to look and what for?
This is driving me crazy on my forum at the moment as nobody can reply to any posts! -
Hi all,Am trying to edit the default theme html/css
When I click the button it flicks to an error page:
This page isn’t working
www.forums.co.uk didn’t send any data.
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE -
Just checked againIt's actually still doing it with the default theme.
-
Hmm interesting stuff - I think that's fixed it @Morrigan!
I changed back to default theme and it's working just fine (and strangely the site's blazing fast compared to before)
Thank you! -
Hi all,
Hope you can help me with this one.
I have a forum where there's a problem after posting a new post/thread.
After pressing the button to submit the new post or to start the new thread the content posts just fine, but then all buttons on the site except the banner don't work.
If I try to click on the reply box below the post it won't respond or open either
If I refresh the page it all works fineIt just seems to be after I've posted something, it doesn't seem to refresh the page properly and renders all links/buttons useless
Any ideas? -
Does anyone know if there's a setting for this to ensure the reply box is always open on all forums? -
That’s great and easy to understand so thank you I really appreciate that and thanks for the reply!

Ah fair enough.
I have a fairly large site but just saw the sizes and wondered if something was set wrong in the site settings as that's happened to me before with things like error logs running up gigs worth of space -

I have had this same issue many times over the years and have narrowed it down to the email address vs display name login. In every single case the member was logging in with their email address and when I informed them to login with their display name problem solved no more issues. I have instructed all my members to login with their display name, Yes, I have my login method set to "Display Name" in the ACP and if yours is the same that might be the problem.
This worked for me
Although I don't see the login method choice in ACP -

Thanks, had to disable it on my board as they were abusing it for spam.
