Yeah there's definitely an issue today
The site is slow, sluggish and the notifications are randomly taking like 10 seconds or more to loadI just got complaints from site users about it
I have cleared my cookies and cache and tried other browsers and still getting same thing
When I run speed tests it's 50/50 - sometimes it says the site loads immediately, and others it is telling me it's loading in 12 seconds or more
It's on and off
I've no idea what's causing it - not sure if it's my server, cloudflare, or the adverts
So annoying -

It’s very slow after upgrade to 4.5 on this site. Sometimes it shows the loading image for 5 seconds or so.
Mine isn't 4.5 yet
There's something stopping my notifications from loading up but I dont' know how to see what is causing it -
Is there a really easy simple fools way of finding out what is stopping mine loading?
I click it and it goes to the spinning wheel of 'WAIT!!!'My server is in the UK, my site is in the UK, my home is in the UK
Sometimes it lasts like 20 seconds

We need here bounce handling, that automatically unsubscribe "dead" E-mails from newsletter. So that we do not need to send over 300 000 mails for each newsletter. I am sure that at least a quarter of them do not exist any more. We have used custom phplist integration till November (excellent bounce handling + free), then we upgraded and loose the integration. Now we test 3rd party Newsletter apps right now. But unfortunately none of them support bouncing
There'a a mailbouncer app in the marketplace that does this

Is there a quick way to totally reset all profile photos to the site default one? -
Hmmm mine are taking like 5 or 6 seconds -
Heya,
Since setting this up it's posting the newly published video in new topic discussions on my forums which is amazing, but it's doing it using random usernames
Have I done something wrong? (I put in my username to post from me in the video settings) -
This sounds great.
Is there a dummies guide on how to use it that is easier to understand how to do itt? -
So my thinking is to buy it, install it on my website and then any links from online stores where I have an affiliate account I can add my ID into the plugin/app and that's it.
I know it covers Amazon but I was hoping it would cover other online companies too such as Ebay and other outlets? -
Yeah they're RAPID on this site -
I'm keen to buy this but have absolutely no idea what I"m doing (I'm not very advanced at coding)
-
Wonder what's caused them to go all weird all of a sudden?
Mine take that long I've stopped clicking/waiting for them -
Could I see a demo of this please?
-
Is this still the case?
I'd like guests to be able to vote in polls -
URLTime Spent
(Initial: http://www.website.co.uk/)
0 ms630 ms/forums/(www.website.co.uk)480 msThis is what I'm seeing on speed tests hence why I'm thinking to move the forums to the root of domain?
Unless there's some way to eradicate the hopping between root, https and then forums URLs? -

The first step is somewhat unnecessary. Other than that I wouldn’t worry too much about it. An instant server redirect is hardly noticable for users and for bots (like search engines) it is more a theoretical problem. If you instruct search engines that /forums/ is your real homepage, then they will accept that don’t bother with the redirect any longer.
Would it affect page loading speeds though?
Do you think I'd see a benefit from not having a redirect going on? -
I've got a long standing forum that's been there for years. (can't remember but early 2000's)
It's very well establishedI'm getting annoyed though by the page redirection that goes:
www.website.com
https://www.website.com
https://www.website.com/forums/
This also affects my site speed and I'm keen to eradicate this by moving from website.com/forums to website.comQuestion is though - how would this affect my standing with Google, SEO etc?
-
I have a problem with my forums in that when you see you have a notification, I click the notification bell to see what it is, and it takes an absolute age to load the next bit, with the swirly animated thing telling me to hang on whilst it loads.
This can't be normal? What could be slowing this down? -

Yeah, it is unexpected that in only exists in the ModCP. I knew it because that is the ONLY reason I ever use the ModCP. 😉
In all my time running forums since 2004 that was the first time I ever visited the ModCP
I knew it existed but never needed to go there until today! -
Thank you!
I was going crazy searching in the ACP! -
I've accidentally made two announcements
Both are showing now and I need to delete one of them from showing to the site visitors
Is there a way to do this? -
I've employed this tactic for years on one of the forums I have
Changing the swearing to something really soft is amazing
One of the forums is a football forum so can get a bit 'LAD' sometimes when certain people try posting on the site, so it's always good to chill the language out with replacements. It really does work -
100% this
This used to be a feature but got removed sadly and I really miss it. It was a massive time saver for admin -
Previously on that screen/section there would be a 'select all' option on the right, with tickboxes
You could then just go down the list, check the tickboxes and press delete
It's something that you could also use to mass approve registrations
I really miss it. It was so useful as a timesaver

Yeah I think it's cloudflare!
I thought Cloudflare was supposed to make your site faster!
Update - spoke too soon
Stopped cloudflare, clicked links, sometimes it's instant to respond and others I'm sat waiting for 20 seconds for the link to work and the next page to come up!
Ruining my Saturday night this ha ha
