Gary Posted October 14 Author Posted October 14 Did you clear your system caches in the AdminCP as well? The promoted.php file is all I had deleted before my site started working again. The database record I was advised to delete was for another issue.
SoloInter Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Yep I did it to about clear cache. Strange, I had the file, but I didn't had the database record xD

Just want to share the I’m experiencing the same thing. I’ve only noticed it with content that existed prior to the upgrade.

Hopefully this will be fixed in the next release. Gary, abobader, Mike G. and 1 other 1 3

Mike Gholson Posted October 19 Posted October 19 I'm having similar troubles with an Error 500 after installing the Beta1 update (on my test site). You can see it here. Looks to be FrontNavigation. Quote Fatal error: Declaration of IPS\nexus\extensions\core\FrontNavigation\_NetworkStatus::isEnabled() must be compatible with IPS\core\FrontNavigation\FrontNavigationAbstract::isEnabled(): bool in /var/www/vhosts/classiczcars.com/beta.classiczcars.com/applications/nexus/extensions/core/FrontNavigation/NetworkStatus.php on line 43 I have a database from waaay back possibly 2013. Mike
Gary Posted October 19 Author Posted October 19 Did you try any of the fixes mentioned in this topic? Others have had similar issues but the fix wasn’t as easy as it was for me. Is this a fresh install or an upgrade from an existing installation of Invision Community?
Mike Gholson Posted October 19 Posted October 19 (edited) Hi Gary, Yeah, I went through the fixes in this thread. I deleted the Promotions row in the database and renamed the files. When I rename a file it seems to just move to another file in the FrontNavigation folder. I'm a bit worried about doing this to every single file. But, perhaps that's what needs to be done? I think this is likely something that should be looked at during the development effort. There are a lot of us that have older databases and the upgrade script should account for these conditions. Hoping this feedback can help the developers. Edited October 19 by Mike Gholson SoloInter 1
Mike Gholson Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Here are the files that I eventually had to rename to get my upgraded site to finally render properly: Promotions.php NetworkStatus.php Referrals.php I also deleted Promotions row in the menu database (as instructed above). Mike

It's been fixed for the next beta, the upgrade scripts will take care of it. Until that's released though, the only fix is to manually clean these records out. It was 17 Alpha 🙂 I don't remember where I read this, but they pointed out during the beta launch that there had been a significant number of alpha versions, while adding that there might be a low number of betas because a lot of work has been done with all the alphas. It's not an exact science either. However 17 alpha + 5 beta = 12 alpha + 10 beta. We'll see ^^

Images aren't showing up yet (even after clearing system caches), but I'll wait until the database has a chance to recognise the change I guess. Hi @Gary, Were you able to get your images to load? I'm seeing the same issue on my test site. I saw that you may have gone to a private message with CCP developer so I can't see if there was any progress on that. Thank you guys! Mike

It has been reported and hopefully will be fixed in the next beta. I have left one problematic topic active on my community but edited the rest to display correctly. It’s just a matter of editing the topic/post, removing the image and adding it in again (it still shows up in the uploaded area when you edit that topic/post).

Google News downloads specer.png and displays an empty field instead of downloading the correct image. Unfortunately this happens with EVERY image converted from IC4 to IC5. Mike G. and ASIKOO 1 1
