Could you please provide an example username on your site, and an example item you believe you should have had notification on?

You can take my username (I'll send it privately). I subscribe to the main forum and there are dozens of new posts every day and haven't had a notification for days.

I would need a specific example please. You mention there have been all sorts of new posts, but note you would get notifications for new topics only if you subscribe to a forum

I had my GMP extension disabled on PHP 8.1 because for some reason cPanel was on ea-php81. Changing the PHP selector back to alt-php81 fixed it.

Are you seeing any errors when you go to the AdminCP -> System -> Support -> Get Support?

A specific example would be the last post in that forum which was posted 1 hour ago.

I also should get notifications whenever someone mentions me or interacts with content I have posted, whenever I receive a personal message, and I

Automatically follow new content I post

Automatically follow content I reply to

... so I should get dozens of notifications a day (and I used to).

There are yourdomain/notifications/options/ which would affect each user individually.
These can be reset for everyone on the AdminCP if that's the problem.

What device are you using, so I can test on this end. Also, are you the only person having issues, or is this everyone?

I have no idea who else (if anyone) is having issues. I haven't received any notifications for days (weeks?) and only noticed now, so maybe others haven't received them and haven't noticed it or haven't reported it, or maybe no one else is using them, no idea.

I'm using a Mac mini running macOS Sonoma 14.5 and Chrome Version 127.0.6533.120 (Official Build) (arm64)

@Marc I just noticed that I'm also not receiving any notification from this website (invisioncommunity.com) when I follow this topic and notifications are enabled in my browser for this site as well.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

Unfortunately while the notifications still aren't working, now I constantly get prompted to enable push notifications in my bell pop-up menu, then it stays stuck on 'Enabling...' and prompts me again if I click the bell icon a few seconds later. The notifications for my site are enabled in my browser.

I have tried deleting all cookies related to my site but the issue comes back.

Spoke too fast? I just deleted the cookies again and now the notifications stay enabled and I no longer get the prompts.

Excellent. Please let us know if you would like us to magically resolve the issue without touching a single button in the future 🙂

I am getting asked to enable push notifications on a regular basis once again... even though I still get no notifications whether I enable them or not. 😞

Have you tried the same as before? Clearing cookies etc? Something seems off with your browser I think. I know this is 3 separate items I have seen where we havent been able to replicate it, which would all relate to browser

Note, Im referring to the message not going away. The fact notifications are not being received is an open bug

Are you using Chrome perhaps? I had the same issue for a while after an update, but another one seems to have fixed it now.

Yes. Ok good I see that there's (yet) another update today, I'll try that. Thanks!

Interestingly I just tested Safari and I DO receive notifications from Safari! It's only Chrome that won't send me notifications.
