Owlsonline Admin Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 (edited) I'm having a few of our site members getting in touch with me, saying they can't see embedded tweets on their phones. However... I can! I've tried our dynamic dark mode, and the default mode and this is what some are seeing The thread / post is: https://www.owlsonline.com/topic/718-202223-wednesday-transfer-thread/page/32/#comment-28251 But I can see it fine..... One of the members having issues has cleared his cache on his phone too to check. We're both using iphones Can anyone help/advise? Edited January 24, 2023 by Owlsonline Admin
Nathan Explosion Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 No idea if it will help your situation, but for those using Firefox then this will likely be 'enhanced tracking protection' being set to On with no exceptions applied.
Owlsonline Admin Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 It's on safari on iPhone.. Fine on my phone, but not displaying properly.. Like the above on two others with exactly the same IOS and using Safari
Jim M Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this on my own iPhone so I would suggest ensuring that they do not have any privacy filters/apps or on a network that might be blocking Twitter's CDN. It is very odd.
Owlsonline Admin Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 Cool, ok Jim, I'll ask the question. Cheers
Gary Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Hi @Owlsonline Admin, I just thought I'd let you know that I can see it embedded correctly in your post. I am using the latest version of Microsoft Edge on my PC, and the latest version of iOS and Safari on my iPhone.
Randy Calvert Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 If its working for you and for everyone else... it's very likely something localized to that user. Either they have a local firewall blocking it, their cache has a bad copy of the file, or something similar.
