Percival
Hello, when users clicks "dismiss" on the alert screen then the redirect loop error message appears... URL looks like this: [...]/alert/1/?do=dismiss&csrfKey=... Tested on 2 different sites (with PHP 7.4 and 8.0), same problem.
Percival
Never mind. I was using "sign in as..." to check user alerts. It goes redirect loop if done that way. Giray
Marc
I am unable to recreate the issue on the latest beta when dismissing. If you see this once you have updated to 4.7.2 please let us know and we can take a closer look at that point Percival
Percival
Tested on 4.7.1. Try creating alert for a specific user, then use "sign in..." as that user in admincp, then try dismissing alert.
Mark H
As my colleague mentioned, please update to 4.7.2 and let us know if the problem continues. We can take a closer look at that point, if so. Senior2323

Jim M
Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce this on your community when logging in as a user. I was using your default theme with all third party applications/plugins disabled. Which browser are you using to reproduce this? Are you seeing any console errors? Solution Percival Posted September 8, 2022 Author Solution Share Posted September 8, 2022 It seems that one of my browsers extension is causing this error. Everything works fine on a browser with disabled extensions. Sorry for the trouble and thank you for your support! Â

Giray
I've just come across this exact issue. Tried with two different browsers, granted both on Mac (Safari and Edge). When I signed in as a user, I got the loop; could not escape. Had to quit, clear cache, etc. to even sign back in as myself. Thoughts?
Marc
I would suggest first of all disabling all browser extensions are mentioned by the op

Two different browsers and the Edge browser is native with no extensions. Just tried with Chrome, same issue. I would highly doubt this, but did the op use Mac? Only thing I can think of. Have you tried it on your end? I assume no issues?
Marc
No, as the user stated there it was one of their browser plugins. Are you using the latest release there, with all 3rd party items disabled (including theme)? I ask as this did used to be a bug, which was resolved

Latest IPS, all the apps updated (the ones that were available), latest MacOS, Safari and Edge. But like I said, different browsers so different extensions and two of the browsers were without any extensions/plugins, etc. whatsoever. I mean, it's not the end of the world, it's just when doing a 'login as' which is not often. I can live with it, but it's worth investigation if I'm not the only one. If I am, then alea jacta est 😉
